Hellfire! Thanks ever so much for your kind words of support. I have at last finished ch 2 and 3 (3 has been finished for a week or so), and they're off at the betareader's house vying for her attention amidst a few other things I've been working on for some time. O_o

All that's left is her notes, and one final scene in ch 4 and I'm done. HUZZAH!

I appreciate your patience, and with this shorter fic complete, I will get to focus some time on Falter, which is a bit more difficult and involved.... O_o

*prays for strength and that it won't be 30 chapters like some of her other fics in the past....*

Sousuke eyed Kaname's apartment door and shifted the roses in his arms. His hand froze at his side, unable or unwilling to knock. He'd already loosened his tie several times on the way to his destination, but he was still having trouble breathing.

A bead of sweat trickled down the side of his face and he smoothed a few damp locks of hair away from his eyes. Why was this so difficult? He set his jaw and with a small grunt, heaved his balled fist up to rap his knuckles on the door.

A mouse could have knocked louder. The Mithril sergeant swallowed and tapped again. It was probably audible. Maybe. He sighed and sagged against the door, resting his forehead on its cool surface.

It's Kaname. A voice reasoned in his mind. She wants to do something special… He clenched his eyes shut and tried not to remember her voice and…THAT word.

"I want to seduce him."

Sousuke grit his teeth and banged his head. Dammit. Bang! Stop thinking about it. Bang! Bang! Ba—

Air swooshed around his head and his eyes flew open. He stumbled forward with his momentum, and crashed right into the object of his thoughts.
