Mao a cadet?

An edodoite made a toon with Mao as a cadet.
(For context of the toon itself, freshmen can't date upperclassmen until after graduation when they are promoted.)

But Mao wasn't a cadet though. The USMC has OCS for grunts who show potential as officers, and Mao was a NCO...
'Course, she got bumped up to 2LT in DVMC, but then, she musta gone for some OCS or something...
