FullMetal*Panic!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this board and message boarding in general. I've liked Full Metal Panic! ever since last April, when I first saw some digital fansubs of the anime.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining a Full Metal Panic! Keepers thing. You know, something like a clique where you "claim" certain items from a specific anime for yourself (for example, Sousuke's gun). It gives you something cool to put in your signature and stuff. Some examples of keepers sites (but not Full Metal Panic! ones) are here and here, and they probably give a better explanation of what a keepers site is than what I did here.

I actually have the whole site designed and everything, but I won't be putting it up anytime soon unless enough people show interest. So please let me know what you think!

Ohhh! I used to run a website for Gatekeepers called "My Kaoru-chan!" and one day some girl e-mailed me asking if I wanted to be a "Keeper" of something from Gatekeepers, more specifically, something of Kaoru-chan. I said sure and she directed me to her site. It's a pretty nifty and fun idea.

It's like, you basically call claim of an item that was in the anime. Sasuke's gun was a good example. Now you can say that you own Sasuke's gun! It's very similiar to like, buying movie props except here it only becomes intellectual property instead of real property, heheh.

It's a great idea and I say go for it!

But I call dibs on Tessa-chan's...bahh!! I need to think about it but I definitely get first call on Tessa's stuff! I'd imagine you can only request one thing at a time anyway, heheh.

I think you should go with the keeper's site....put it up and I'll link to it- then maybe it will help draw in more innocent vict....unsuspecting fans

I say you go for it! I'm sure there's going to be a battle with some peeps regarding the ownership of particular things. *cough*Danaan*cough* and more FMP sites is good I had an idea back then to create one too but.. I already have enough sites as it is (like.. 10 of them??)

Tip for FMP keepers site: Make sure to impose strict rules. Some people just don't follow them and make sure they READ your rules before applying if neccessary (So maybe don't put a plain link for the form where everyone can see it. Put it on the rules page and you can even ask them to type something so you'd know they DID read the rules) There are some peeps who just send blank forms and it's pretty annoying. Or they haven't filled out even at least the email address.

Well, anyway, I'm tweaking the site right now, and it will be open probably tomorrow or tuesday... it's not the best looking site, but it works . The site will be at http://www21.brinkster.com/sousuke until I get my own domain or someone to host me.

Thank you so much to everyone who expressed interest... I'm not accepting submissions yet, but I will will post again as soon as the site is actually open, and everyone who replied to this thread gets first dibs .

P.S. Just to let you know, the rules will be:

1. You can't own a whole character. For example, you can't be the Keeper of Mao or a Kurtz no Miko.
(If you REALLY wanted to be a Kurtz no Miko though, I believe someone is maintaining a Miko list somewhere...)
You could own a whole mecha though, like Arbalest or Venom, if you like...
2. Limit 1 item per character and 2 characters per Keeper. Sorry, but this list is on a first-come first-serve
basis, and it's not fair to future Keepers if one person has all the items.

and there's something you're going to have to type in the submission form to let me know that you read the rules, but I haven't decided what it will be yet

Agh, Jae! Oh well... I'll see if this comes along nicely, then I'll claim the M9. What are we supposed to do with Keeper thing anyhows? If it's fun, you can sure as heck counta me in.

BTW, Bern, what's with the sudden Clossbone Gandam obssession?

Crossbone Gundam looks like something Roy Focker would fly...Oh, and I get dibs on the cloaking Comanche.

EZ, my man! Long time no talkie. Anyhow, I just think SD Crossbone is uber, lol. That and I'm going through a mild F91 high, y'know.

You don't think this could be like, a little loosened. Maybe like, three things per character and two characters? Or hell, even two things per character. One thing...it just makes it really hard to chose, y'know.

Not when the supplies start thinning out.
