OI! Felix here! Ready to rock the forum with some NEW FMP FICTION! WOOO! Are you all prepared for the beggining? I HOPE SO!
Peace never lasts forever...it's something people have known for a long time. Since forever, there have been evil men seeking power for their own dark purposes, be it slaughter or profit, or a strange sense of perverted satisfaction. This is why there is Mythril.
chapter 1: HEAT
Sousuke Sagara navigated the thick greenery with an ease that came only through experience. He guided the massive AS known as the Arbalest over the unsteady terrain, the Columbian Jungle floating by like a river of jade. As he crested the hill, the brilliant sunlight flooded through his sensors. Of course, the advanced technology of Mythril made it so such a burden was no longer a problem.
Sousuke gazed down into the complex that lay before him.
"This is Wurz 7, I have found the target and I am moving in to engage. Defense seems nonexistant."
"Wurz 6 here, I have his back!" came Kurz's cocky callback.
"Wurz 2, Roger. I'll watch you two. Don't screw up, Kurz!" said Mao.
"Aw, sis!" he said. Sousuke smiled. Some things would never change.
Souskue disengaged his ECS as he charged downwards, firing volley after volley of ammo from the Arbalest's combat shotgun, blowing up trucks and other assorted stuff, as was Sousuke's specialty. He felt Kurz behind him, tactfully picking off target's of oppurtunity.
In the heat of battle, Sousuke didn't pay any heed to the small figure running towards him, seemingly unarmed. Passing him over as a noncombatant, Sousuke prioritized the other targets and kept on firing. It wasn't till he felt himself leaving the stability of the earth that he realized his mistake.
"Sousuke!" cried Kurz, whirling around as the suicide bomber detonated at Sousuke's leg.
"Shit!" Mao cursed, and her M9 jumped down as well, charging into the battle.
Within minutes, it was over. The one bomber had been the only true scare, and the Arbalest was barely scratched. As the Mythril cleanup crew arrived, Sousuke disembarked from his gear and stood alone on the cliff.
It had been two weeks since he had said goodbye to her.
He had almost died and all he could think of was seeing her again.
What was this? A soldier wasn't supposed to think of girls during battle. That would cost lives, cost resources, and overall be contrary to the mission priorities.
What was it about her that did this to him? He didn't know. It was a question that had plagued him for the last two weeks, and he pondered it over as he returned to the camp. Mao spotted him.
"Sousuke. You alright?" she said. Sousuke nodded.
"Of course." Mao smiled, and left him so she could return to chewing out Kurz for not having Sousuke's back better.
He walked over to the lines of prisoners as they were herded onto the helicopters, and the bomber's mad run came to him once more. What kind of organization was this that they commanded such loyalty and dedication? he wondered, and from behind him, a voice spoke.
"The Eyes of God are on you, Mythril Knight." it said. Sousuke turned to face the speaker, one of the prisoners in line.
"We know of you...and what you stand for. God cannot allow such power to be loose in the world...and so we will take it. We will take her from you, Mythril Knight." he smiled. Without thought, Sousuke drew his weapon and grabbed the prisoner, putting the gun to the cackling man's head.
"What do you mean? Who?" Sousuke yelled.
"The Beauty...the Hand of God shall pluck her from the sky like the rose she is...and He will use her till she has no more to give, like a flower with no petals, and discard her. For God is great, God is powerful, and none shall stand in his path. Not even you, Sousuke Sagara." he rasped, and fell over laughing.
"Ho do you know my name? How? And What do you intend to do with Chidori! TELL ME!" Sousuke screamed, his grip digging into the prisoner's skin, but the enemy had stopped laughing. Sousuke felt his pulse. He was dead.
Something was very wrong.
************
The blue sky whirled around her as she spun, smiling at the brown haired and steel eyed boy that held her close. Chidori kissed him gently, first that crossed shape scar on his cheek, then his lips, melting into his embrace.
"Kana-chan" he said, as they fell to the grass below them
"Kana-chan!" he said again, and Kaname stopped. Since when did he call her Kana-chan?
"KANA-CHAAAAN!" screamed Kyoko, and Kaname leapt to her feet.
"WHAAAAAT???" she yelled back.
"School is over now, k?" Kyoko beamed. Kaname fell over. She HATED fall semester.
She hated it because he wasn't here anymore.
