(Fic) Perfect Soldiers 3/?

Post by War Dove »

Finally getting around to posting this here, thanks to the support of my buds who have confidence that this fic isn't as bad as it sounds. So here goes nothing...

Gundam Wing and Full Metal Panic belong to me in any way shape or form.

Geez, when I started this crossover, I knew it was going to become somewhat frustrating for me, and so, its proven it has.

You have FMP, which is a comedy/drama, then you have GW which is your basic anime drama and putting the two together while trying not to make any, if not all of the characters and situations extremely OOC isn’t easy. I’ve tried my best and can only hope I’ve succeeded. Also with the second season of FMP and waiting to see how it will end, effects this fic, as far as plot and whatnot goes.

No real warning in this chapter, unless topics of planned parent hood disturb you. The whole condom talk between Sousuke and Heero I was unsure about, but the people who read this before my posting of it seemed to think it was funny and should be left in. So what the hell, I did.

Some of what is in this fic, no doubt will seem silly and down right ludicrous, but this is a fic written for fun and I never started off thinking this was going to come off as a serious or even half-way good fic, so if some people’s tastes find it dumb, oh well, I’m sure I’ll hear about it. Like it, hate it, don’t care either way, it’s your call.

Sousuke ran his left hand through his hair as he looked down at his watch on his right wrist. “We have exactly forty-seven minutes to make the gala before the main event.”

Checking his own watch, which he had synchronized with his fellow soldier’s, Heero shook his head. “I concur with that.” He then looked into the mirror, his fingers ruffling in place a few of his own wild dark bangs, his eyes averting briefly to the other man.

“Checklist?” Sousuke asked.

Heero stuck his hand in the back pocket of his tuxedo slacks. “Wallets?”

The one-man army from Mithrill aped Heero’s actions. “Check. Breath mints?”

Then two men checked their vest pockets and nodded at the same time as Heero replied. “Check.”

“Keys?”

“Check.”

“Currency?”

“Check.”

“Credit cards?”

“Check.”

“Guns”

“Check.”

“Plastic explosives with detonators?”

“Check.”

The back and forth checklist went on for at least three minutes, until Sousuke unwittingly ended it.

“Condoms?”

Heero’s left brow cocked. “Relena’s on birth control.”

With a curt nod Sousuke spoke. “Kanami too. Very efficient in a monogamous relationship…I didn’t mean to imply that you and…”

“Then why did you ask me?”

“A soldier has to always look out for his comrades.”

Taken back a bit by Sousuke’s words of friendship, caused Heero to feel uneasy, but touched in an odd sort of way. Never had he met another soldier who seemed to have been in tune with his own sense of efficiency, perfection, protocol and seriousness, well there was one other, but this guy made Trowa look carefree. Perhaps Sousuke feels the same towards me, hence why the concerned statement. He looked down at his watch, his thoughts changing suddenly as he noticed the time.

“Thirty-three minutes and fourteen seconds. Relena’s limo is just outside, judging by the distance of where the gala is being held we should still have enough time.”

“With fifteen minutes to spare.” Sousuke added.

“Let’s move out then.”

“Right.”

~At the gala~

“So, how do you think our military brats are faring?”

Relena looked over at Kaname with an amused smile of her own, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. “I’m sure they’re taking the most effective and efficient steps they need to arrive here before my speech.”

“They’re two sides of the same stone, that’s for sure.”

“How ever did we get so lucky?” Teased the young politician as she clasped together her delicate and slender hands.

The two girls began to giggle a little unaware of the tall and striking blonde approaching, them.

“Hey Kaname. You didn’t tell me the VFM was such a looker.”

Relena’s eyes widened somewhat as she broke out in another fit of laughter, all the while Kaname was giving Kurtz a glare that could kill if it was allowed.

“Have more respect, will ya?”

Forcing her soft chuckles away, Relena extended her hand out towards the Mithrill officer. “You must be Sergeant Kurtz Weber. Kaname has mentioned you to me.”

“Oh did she now?” He smiled slyly as he seemed to almost slide up beside her, his arm curling around her waist, which placed his hand casually between her left hip and backside. He jerked her body gently into his own, his free hand cupping her chin so that her face was to his. “Then she definitely had to tell you how incredibly sexy and charming I am.”

Before Relena could respond, and Kaname could clobber him, he was shook somewhat roughly by a hand slamming down on his shoulder.

“I can tell ya buddy how incredibly dead you’ll be if you don’t release your hold on Miss Relena.”

“Hey, just trying to show her a little hospitality “buddy” no reason to get…” His words were stopped dead in their tracks as his line of vision met with the face of the man that was behind him. Lavender eyes and long auburn hair; was this the man Melissa had told him about? He released the Vice Foreign Minister immediately and stepped away, still in somewhat of a dazed state.

Duo was taken aback somewhat by the shocked look that the other man was giving him, but as usual he shrugged it off with a snide remark. “Yep, seems even in Japan they know the face of the God of Death, though my friends all call me Duo, Duo Maxwell.”

Though confused in her own right, Relena immediately intervened. “Duo, it’s okay. He’s a Mithrill officer. Kurtz Weber.”

With his smirk quickly turning into a genuine smile, the longhaired bodyguard extended his hand. “Hey, glad to meet ya Kurtz. Like I said my name’s Duo.”

“Yea, sure, nice to meet ya.” Kurtz replied as he shook his hand, still amazed at how the young man before him resembled his father. Feeling self-conscious suddenly he took away his hand and shrugged the thought off with a light-hearted sigh. “Heh, well it seems I won’t be getting any action around here, so I’ll be off, but still around. After all, can’t lose sight of one of my favorite ladies.” He winked one of his bright blue eyes at Kaname, quickly leaving and pretending not to see the bulging veins that had begun to throb on her forehead.

The former princess of Cinq gave a worried look. “Kaname, are you all right.”

Other then being embarrassed as hell by that jackass playboy… “I’m fine Relena.” She spoke pleasantly with a stiff smile as her eyes searched wildly for any sign of Sousuke.

~Back to the Boys~

The limo pulled up in front of the building with exactly fifteen minutes to spare before Relena was to give her speech. With straight spines and military stances, Heero and Sousuke exited the vehicle, both checking for signs of any suspicious persons.

“Seems clear from my viewpoint, Heero.”

“Same here. But maybe we should scope out the balconies and other entrance ways.”

“We should, though wouldn’t it be a good idea to let the girls know we’re here?”

“We have ten minutes to spare. I don’t want to give up the element of surprise. You don’t have to assist me.”

“That’s a negative. With my help it will take half the time, hence both of us will be relatively safe from the wrath of our girlfriends. Just tell me where to start.”

Heero handed Sousuke an earpiece, deciding not to question exactly what he had meant by “wrath of our girlfriends” but he knew if he was a few minutes late Relena would understand well, for the most part.

~Back at the Party~

“Ten minutes. Think they’ll make it?”

“If I know my Heero he’s already here, Kaname. Probably checking out all the details, like no one but him can make things secure for me.”

“And no doubt Sousuke is helping him. Oh well, nothing to do but wait, I suppose.”

~Back with Heero and Sousuke~

Speaking as casually into his collar microphone as possible, Heero Yuy communicated to Sousuke that all was clear on his end of things. Sergeant Sagara replied with the same words and both were about to rendezvous to their dates when the introduction was made and Vice Foreign Minister Relena Darlian took the stage, with the host, several dignitaries and Kaname Chidori behind her.

“They started two minutes early. Why would that be?” Heero spoke aloud as his eyes grew intense scanning the room again. “Sousuke, do you see anything?”

“Nothing here, no wait. To your left, dark hair, black tux with a green lapel and two white scuff marks on the tip of his left shoe. His hands in his pockets are twitching and there’s a bulge I believe and I see something metal and shiny. Fifteen feet away behind him are three other men, they look much the same.”

Picking up the suspects in his sites immediately, Heero acknowledged. “But we don’t know if any of them are a danger.”

“True, perhaps we should simply observe a few minutes.”

“Mn. Perhaps.” Heero’s peripheral vision picked up Relena’s slender form as she stood behind the podium and the sound of her soft voice lingered in his ears. No time to be distracted, Yuy, focus on the mission at hand-what-is that a…! “Sousuke!”

“I’m on it Heero!”

Duo looked up towards the ceiling as soon as he heard the shouts from above. “Holy shit! Heero!” He was about to rush ahead when he was jerked back by the neck and knocked unconscious.

“Sorry ‘bout this, buddy, but we need to talk…in private.”

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Project Night Fox

"Night Fox, what have you done that makes it so special from the others?" said a wounded Sergeant Sagara.

The unidentified individual grinned with a sweet smile.

"I guess you'll just have to wait and see, won't you, Mr. Sagara? Isn't that right, Helena?"
