I don't have a subscription to Drag Mag anymore, which is the reason I haven't been doing the monthly scans this year. But when I see new ones in japantown, I grab it. (didn't gotten many in '03

anyone wanna buy me a subscription?)

Anyway, the Jan 1 issue has a nice 6 or 8 page FMP feature, with some nice images.

Hm, maybe I should check out the bookstore in Japantown next time I goto SF. I've only been there once though with my family and friends and we ate at a seafood buffet.

The mags are on the left when you go in, just follow it around and the anime stuff is at the end. Too bad everytime I go on, there's only 1 or 2 copies of DM, if any

In my total boredom at work, I took the first 2 pics (the ones with Kaname and Tessa), joined them back together, removed the text, reconstructed the image, and then turned it into a 1280x1024 desktop for your viewing pleasure.

I'm working on a version that has more of the original (need to remove the text on the lower right, the above pic has it cropped out) and I'm still not happy about the page spine still showing. I'll work on it more when I get home (on a REAL computer, not this slow POS).

I usually do, but this machine has a decreped version of Photoshop that loves to crash when I save Jpegs, Tiffs, and ILBMs.

Thanks for the clean up offer, I can do it at home though, gives me something to do. LOL

My home machine is built specifically for A/V and graphics work, so I can do it in a few minutes, rather than half a day on this 800Mhz Pentium 3 with 128 megs of ram. Sllllllooooooowwwwwww

try to save it in "Microsoft Paint" if ya have it... ive done it some times when I convert from bmp to jpeg

Thats not that slow... My server is a 400mhz and 2 years ago that was my main comp....
after that my dad gott a 2ghz and now I bought a 2,8ghz to myself

Oh its slow alright

Photoshop 5 runing on NT 4.0, not a good combination. LOL

The monster at home is a 3.2 Ghz PIV HT 800Mhz FSB with 2 gigs of PC3200 Geil ram w/copper heatsinks (its a Gigabyte 8knxp mainboard), and just over a terrabyte of storage (in 3 RAID arrays, one 2 disk RAID 0 for system, one 4 disk RAID zero for video and one 2 disk RAID0 for Audio). I've got a Radeon 8500 (looking to upgrade to a 9800Pro) connected to 2 17" Viewsonic TFT displays. The only problem is that I have about 22 fans in that thing. It sounds like a dang 747 powered vacuum cleaner. LOL
