The "Novels"

Ok don't ban me if this isn't allowed. But, first of all where do you guys get the full metal panic novels (or manga, same thing?) legally? I'm a huge full metal panic fan, and since I got into anime it has been my favorite anime. Not quite sure why, but yea, so I really enjoy watching it. Souske just cracks me up ^^.

But yea, since I'm really short on cash (being your average college student) is there any place to download them (translated???), preferred in bt format but anything will do...

So far, there's no method for aquiring the novels legally, short of going to Japan and buying them, as ADV has not lisenced the novels at this time. I'm not too sure about the manga, but I think ADV has lisenced it as well as the anime.

As for downloading the translated novels - welcome to the club, that's what we all do here. ^_^ Head on to www.boku-tachi.net ; Brandi has finished Owari Day By Dad (which is presumed will for a significant portion of 2nd Raid) and A Dancing Very Merry Christmas (Also presumed to be part of the 2nd Raid anime).

ADV has licensed both versions of the manga. The first manga series : Full Metal Panic! manga books are available (vols 1-7) at bookstores.

the second manga series: Ikinari! FMP! has also been licensed by ADV.. the first vol will be out in May(?)

the first series are the ones closest to the novels and anime. The second one is primarily short gag stories aimed at younger audiences. The art style is also a tad kiddie-like, compared to the other series.
