Ok, lets assume that there is Mercury above Gold and Silver. Then it would be like this:

Gold reports to Mercury

Silver reports to Gold

everyone else reports to Silver

This would mean that Leonard would be 3th highest in Amalgam's command chain.

Well, if you're going to go into symbolism, why not let the organisation as a whole represent Mercury? Leonard said, in COMO, that Mr. Iron didn't fit in with the others (can't remember exact wording off the top of my head) - which, according to Wikipedia, is true about the element's inability to mix with mercury. (Don't ask me about Potassium/Kalium, I have no idea.)

And if true-silver did exist, I doubt it would mix well either. Just a hunch. :-D
