i felt sorry for chidori when she was crying, so cute...
anyways next ep seems to be about sagara and a mission....
i prefer the ones with chidori, they are so much more emotional, not to mention i love her character.

Question for those who have read the novel pertaining to this part of the story: [ecs]I keep reading how everyone says that Wraith is really a woman, but is he? In the novel, it says that Chidori pulls off Wraith's mask only to reveal another disguise (one in which she can't determine either sex) underneath. So what's the deal? Could that have been another mask under the original in the anime? I don't think it's fair to say yet just what he is . But then again, if it's later revealed further in the novel that he really is a woman than boohoo to me! LOL [/ecs]

That one. I suppose it could mean anything. But I figured the odds of more than one new character in the habit of wearing disguises is pretty slim. Or maybe Wraith is a guy with some VERY convincing costumes. Who knows?

Ah, yea... I dunno what she's thinking there when she decided to do that. She must've seen the Taser, Kaname was pointing it at Wraith when she shot him. And when Kaname froze stiff for the 1st shot at her, she was holding the Taser in plain sight. So "didn't see it" can't be an excuse.

Did Yu Lan think she can dodge the Taser when it's fired at her? Not sure, it was never aimed at her until the end, so maybe if Kaname faced her head on aimed it at her earlier, she would've tensed up, ready to dodge, and maybe get some sense back in her.

Maybe Yu Lan thinks she can handle the Taser, or at least regain consciousness after being shocked, quickly enough before Kaname escapes. But that'll also mean she's not expecting Kaname to kill her or restrain her while she's unconscious... that's too far fetch for me.

In the novel, the assassin didn't pull out a knife and kept using his gun. He's a pro too and missed his shots. I guess the animators thought it'd please the fans if Yu Lan pulled out her machete again, despite the total loss of reason. I only wish she was wearing that quipao instead.

She was taking the assination of Kaname to a personal level, because her beloved sensei wished it so. Had she treated it as a job, Kaname would not have had a chance.

Which is why Kaname flashed back to Sousuke. She thought Yu was a professional and she wouldn't stand a chance, then she remembered Sousuke said "Only a second rate assasin licks thier lips in front of thier prey".

About the gun: Yu missed Kaname with the first shot because the gun misfired. If you noticed, the shell casing became stuck in the ejection mechanism. This would cause the gun to loose a significant amount of combustion pressure. Later Yu abandoned the gun, because she wanted it to be personal.

Does a terminator show any feelings ? .. I mean we are talking about a sociopath. So I question that personal level.

Kaname got a little weak in the knees imho that made the bullet miss her .. dumb luck.

The shell casing got stuck in the ejector after the bullet left the barrel.. Lets say it was a "real" misfire .. where was the huge kaboom, smoke of the escaping gas that didn't travel via the silencer. ?? (shot sounded the same)
Lets assume it was, you are correct that this could influence the accuracy But the distance was really low.


again imho they used it as an excuse to give Kaname time to excape.
