I meant in the novel when Kaname saw someone on the rooftop and thought that he smiled. You weren't talking about that? I need a break.

No, no. I was talking about the novel. But you mentioned episode 2, so it threw me off. I don't particularly recall a smile, but my memory isn't the greatest. In any case, yes, it was probably the assassin in the novel.

[Anyway ... pls continue the ep7 madness below ... -T]

I didnt read most of the past posts (no time right now, its not that i dont want to, so dont get me wrong.)

just wanted to mention

- In the anime, they DO show the scene i was referring to where she sees, lets say "someones" glare off of something (which they imply its a rifle several times in the novel and due to previous things ive brought up, is most likely such but whatever, ill stick with something and someones) on a rooftop outside of her window. This occurs in the first couple minutes of Episode 2. She wakes up, rolls off her bed, goes over to the window and is 'blinded' by a bright glare from the big building outside her window, which shines a couple times, then she just closes it.

So they just moved it from being later, to earlier and replaced it on the later part with her walking past the les.

No, because in the novel, the assasin does indeed smile at Kaname...she catches quite the glimpse of him.
Is it just me, or are there way too many talking decapitated heads around these days?

i think theres enough proof from novel to show to prove that many things arnt done exactly the same.

I mean they made up some lesbians (which i mean i know they exist, but the form of them isnt nearly the same) and the entire like first 4 episodes.

So i dont see why they wouldnt take out a small thing like a smile.

Also, explain what the random glare was from the other building then, it was obviously someone watching with either a rifle or binoculars.

Unless they were bored and said "lets put in a shard of glass perfectly angled to shine into kaname's window...but it doesnt mean anything at all"

i doubt they did that.

The glare in episode 2 was either wraiths rifle scope, or wratihs binoculars, one or the other...

This is because it's wraiths introduction episode, and he needs to somehow be there.

It can be interpreted differently, since it isn't directly verbalized in any way, but this is definately how the authors meant it to be seen :-P

On the other hand, on the way home from school, chidori sees the smile of an assasin, and in ep. 7, she simply walks by her...it's the same effect, but the walking by sequence is more appropriate (as will become apparent later, if I'm right), and it's more dramatic...
