2006 Spring Anime Season

On my checkout list we find:

Air Gair
Black Lagoon

Gintama
Demon Bane
RAY
Shinigami no Ballad
Tokko

But who knows .... some of the rest seems pretty interesting.. with the exception of Witch Blade .... that one looks scary ..

Man im feeling alittle hope all the sudden for this years anime
and these arent the ususal 1 guy 100 girls series!!!

The asterisk ones are probably the ones I'll keep watching.

Seems like the Tenchi franchise just won't die. Some Sasami spinoff is polluting the airwaves once again this spring.
I know some of you will enjoy Ah! My Goddess 2nd Season... I think I'll skip that one.

I'm definitely gonna watch School Rumble 2 while it airs instead of waiting for series to be completed like I'm doing now. Starts April 2nd eh? Sweet.

For now, School Rumble 2nd Sem is the only one i'm sure to get. I can't wait to see the bunkasai war games animated. XD

That right there is 10 series, + FSN, that's 11. I did get another 20gb hd (portable), so maybe I'll be able to squeeze say like 5 to 8 more series on there.

But yeah, with over 50 series this season it'll be hard to choose, very hard...

Wow, they made an anime based on Witchblade???

Never read it so I dunno if it's good, but I've seen it around quite a bit.

edit- aah, they made up a whole new character and probably plot. So it looks like it's still a GONZO story. Hmm.. so, would the anime even be considered 'true canon' by fans? Probably not.

Never followed witchblade much when it first came out, but I do know it
was known for it's fair share of T&A like the rest of the Image titles

The anime version is considered controversial by some due to the fact that GONZO has announced that the main character of the anime is of Japanese ethnicity but is not Itagaki, one of the previous bearers of the Witchblade. Instead it is a new character named Masane. This has caused some fans to cry out against what they see as a Nipponisation of the franchise.
