why is it that whenever the main charecter in an anime is a Guy he gets repeatedly beat up by his female companions.........what the he11 is wrong with these anime artists, where did this "disease" start? Its far from romantical and usually not funny. Is it that they dont want to look like male sexists so they become extreme femenists and abuse the male gender in their stories (same as Hollywood). Note to my fellow bloggers im not talking about FMP...... at least Chidori usually has a good reason.
I aplogise for my ranting but its been bottled up for some time now

Anime: its not about the big guns, Its about the bouncies!

I could come up with something I would call the "Mirror Theory"
In real life women usually are on the receiving end in a negative way.
Maybe anime could be considered a alternate reflection of this society. Why not sling in a little male bashing.
Or we could go with the "Envy Theory"
If anime is made by geek scriptwriters, I can imagine the hero is somebody that would stand so far away from their own life that they are pretty jealous and he deserves a good beating by women. <grin>
"Hope Theory"
If anime is made for whipping boy audience I can imagine the hero - in this case the female whipping boy - reminds them of their own life.
But in the end the female/harem usually warms up to wimp boy and thus the viewer is left with a spark of hope.
*snickers*.... so much pun in thinking up this nonsense.

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

I subscribe to the 'lowest common denominator' theory myself... how
many guys of ANY nationality can say they've been flat out shot down
by the opposite sex? <raises hands> How many guys of ANY nationality
can say they honestly wish they had their own female harem <raises hands>
How many guys of ANY nationality can say they wish they were that loser
on the recieving end of of ANY of that female attention/abuse? <raises hands>
Regards

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

Well its just cliche of those harem anime series so don't worry, there is nothing hidden behind it. Just something to laugh about.
