I've been watching this show and just finished viewing #9 the other day. While I do quite enjoy it overall, Ergo Proxy's animation has been bothering me for the past... four episodes or so. I realize that usually art is high standard in the first couple episodes of an anime, then drops slightly, and clearly Ergo Proxy is no exception. The problem is, the art was so top notch in the first couple of episodes, that it kinda hurt itself because now average animation just becomes glaringly obvious, and I often find myself distracted by the deteriorated character design and production value. I'm not fully sure what Vincent really looks like, because his facial features keep changing during every scene, and emotion is not the cause. I realize I might be a little anal about this, but its hard not to recall how beautiful and lush the first episode seemed and how psyched I was, compared to the animation now. However, despite this, I'm still avidly watching the show, because compared to many, Ergo Proxy still has decent art, and hell, I enjoy the concept and characters.
I also probably share the same opinion with most of the viewers here when I say that I wish "Lil", "Lir", "Ril", "Lin", "Rel", "Real" (whatever you want to call her--personally I wish an official name was chosen so it wouldn't be so damn confusing or consistent

) would make an appearance again, as we (the viewers), were initially set up to assume she was the main character!
By the way, anyone have any idea how long this series is supposed to run? I don't see the Vincent plotline linking back up with the Romedeau plotline any time soon, as Vince hasn't even reached his intended destination yet anyways.
