Subs up to #23 have been popping out... plenty of choices. And a RAW
#24 has shown up. Now I need a weekend to actually catch up on this
series...
EDIT: couldn't resist so I watched 'em. Byebye Satella,
death, destruction, dying, dispair... and rises from them a Saint by the
name of... Flashbacks of Aion & Chrno when they originally planned
their rebellion, Aion chastising Chrno for his 'feelings.' Rosette saying
'she wants her life back,' final battle... kinda. All that's left his Rosette's
gun.
Then some guy walking into a room of statues of... children? With
what looks like demon horns?
Subs of #24 out by AznPro. Okay, get ready for it folks!
Fast forward from the last ep either six months or four years (1929) and
Black Thursday -- the NY Stock Market crash has just occurred. The
Order remains hidden, Azmaria's now a Sister in the Order, still in her
usual clothes tho. Joshua mental capacity remains that of a twelve year
old as his memories of the incident have been subconsciously
suppressed. He's now writing an action novel where two children led by
an alien are going to fight a great evil; some hints about an Astral Line --
ring any bells ppl?
Just when you think Rosette&Chrno are going to remain hidden forever,
we're shown their final scene... REAL tearjerker, 'specially for you
RxC fans. Rosette's at peace, and she has so much to tell Chrno, yet
nothing's coming forward. As her last seconds tick down to sunset...
and they're located byt he order with smiles on both their faces. Awwww!
Azmaria wearing the uniform of the Order -- she looks sooo cute!!
in it! *perv out* Sister Kate questions Minister Remington about Rosette's
fate and what this bodes for the future.
Fast Forward again to 1981, and the revelation of the Third Prophecy
of Fatima, which you can read more about here
Aion makes one last appearance as the ep closes with some suitably
abiguous words about walking the path God has chosen for us. Religious
leanings otherwise, I rather have to like the way they ended CC...
just... touching
Way the heck after the fact, I just watched the last three episodes.
And, well... God, I thought that was a terrible ending. I guess I'll just stick with buying the manga and give the series DVDs a miss since, well, the manga seems to make rather more sense.
"Angus! Don't put those in there, they breed like flies! ... what's that? They are flies? Well in that case get some popcorn and let's watch." - St. Ungulant

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

I haven't seen any Chrno Crusade since it got licensed. But now that it ended, I went ahead and skipped to the last 5 episodes so I'll know how it ends. At the start of ep20, I'm treated to a limp and vurnerable Rosette with her clothes tattered and shreaded . Well, enough of that fanservice... some mediocre action... I liked the next epsiode showing Chrno and Mary Magdalene's past... Satella's fight was cool but sad... expected plot until the very end when Rosette and Chrno dies on the porch, a real tearjerker alright . I'm glad they didn't make Rosette super brave and with, "I'm willing to die as long as I'm with you Chrno" crap. Her tears and wish to live longer really moved me and made it so much more genuine.
I love "Sayonara Solitaire" more than ever and I really like that sad cello BGM too. Anyone know what it's called and which OST is it in or will be? ^_^
Found it! The sad BGM is called "Chrno no Kanashimi (Chrno's Sorrow)." Track 12 of Chrno Crusade Original Sound Track Gospel II. Composed by Hikaru Nanase, she (I think it's a woman) also did the music for Scrapped Princess =).
The biggest tearjerker in the last episode, at least in my eyes, was when Remington was just outside St. Paul's Cathedral, sees Aion enter, and a few moments later you hear gunshots. It made it seem all the pain and sacrifice during the 1920's to foil Aion was a waste.

Kaname: "Sousuke, you are the only person I trust."
I had planned to never watch the last eps... but under extreme boring moments my interest took over....
The reason I didn't want to watch the ending was because I didnt want it to end badly...

Anyway I saw the ending yesterday...
And as most of ya I was really moved like Circle said...
I really feelt it when Rosette wanted to live longer with Chrono as they were in theyr final moments
A true Tearjerker indeed... (I admit even I had a tear or two)
