Episode 7: A new character,..... again. Why am I not surprised?
Until now we have a:
- lightheaded priest
- RoboCop
- "uberbishonen" guy
- The BadGuy
- two cute nuns
- pilot girl from episode one
- oh and lets not forget the little girl from episode two
...collecting eps as I go, but I think it lost it after it pulled the Gonzo tactic
of introducing new characters everyweek and lost focus with it's main character(s)
I do wonder tho, what sin was Abel Nightroad trying to make up for?
Didn't you read me previous posts? He's a porn star.
Seriously, I got up to ep 10 (thinking that it'll get better) before I just couldn't bare it. The "epiphany" Sir Uber-Baddy had when he got wasted by Mr. looky-me-I'm-a-preist-with-the-name-of-a-porn-star-who-is-an-obvious-yet-poorly-done-rip-off-of-Arucard was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Other than the fact that the animators did a damn good job with drawing Budapest's landmarks, I suggest passing it up. The shows use of vampires is actually fitting because the series sucks.
I suppose a correct response to the end of this anime would be
ZOMG WTF!!!????
The bastards they owe me a story..... and it will never happen because the author died.
Thank you very much.

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Yeah, it's a pity the author died. He created a very original world with echoes of our own. The characters are dynamic, changing individuals that I want to know what happens to. If we want to know more, we'll need fan fiction, simple as that.
That final episode was shocking, especially the backstory with Abel and his siblings. [ecs] Then, Abel wanted to kill all the Terrans--talk about a role reversal. I wonder who the second girl was. Did they ever name her? I know that Cain, Abel and Seth are the children of Adam and Eve so it fit that Cain killed Abel. So Father Nightroad and his siblings were genetically engineered to be "super" colonists for a mission to Mars. Super colonists wouldn't need to turn into powerful angels. Did their creator forsee the Armageddon?[/ecs]
A big question I wish was answered was why Cardinal Catherina [ecs] had the body of the red headed girl Abel grew up with and how she knew to send the girl's blood with Gunslinger to revive Father Nightroad. [/ecs]
My favorite of the secondary characters is easily the young vampire Ion. [ecs] I marvelled as Sister Esther changed his opinions on Terrans. During the time they were in the Empire, it's pretty obvious that he fell in love with her. Maybe that's why he left with Father Nightroad -- he knew she'd be dead of old age before he knew it and couldn't stand to see that. He could have also left to kill Cain to protect her. [/ecs] Too bad there was no way they could be together.
