FullMetal*Panic!

Ep 4 is out.

This series reminds me of Slayers and I liked Slayers. 52 episodes huh? There's gonna be a lot of little side stories like ep 4 then.

Well they managed to keep the village in one piece .. our beloved Lina has her own ways .

i'm actually reading the manga instead of watching this.. it's kind of funny. one question. in the anime, does Rose from the first village (the fake religion alchemist plot arc) have any further appearance? she only appeared in the first two chapters, i kinda expected her to follow the brothers but so far she hasn't.

Yea, at the end of that episode, she turned around looking disappointed... I thought she was gonna follow the brothers too but she hasn't appeared again . Hopefully she'll be back

Not much to say about this anime except I don't like it. First 2 eps were interesting, but now I am sleeping while watching. I do admit that it's good if you seek some action, but otherwise...well it's matter of taste anyway

If it keeps as good as it is for the rest of the series it'll be one of the best (or the best) series of this year.

It's starting to pick up in speed, it's nice ...
but by far it doesn't reach SAC animation or story wise,

compared to the other new series that came out t the same time, it keeps entertaining

Here we go, my 50th post, maybe that'll promote me .

FMA is about Alphonse and Edward Elric, two young brothers who have lost their mother. They hoped to use their talent for alchemy to somehow revive her. However, human alchemy is a forbidden science, and attempting it carries a heavy price. Ed loses an arm and leg, and Al loses his body. Ed is able to seal Al’s soul inside of a huge suit of armor. Years later, Ed (now with two mechanical limbs) and Al (still trapped in the armor) set out to regain their old bodies, each brother concerned with the other’s happiness. As they travel, they use their powerful alchemy to help the people along the way.

After the first story (first 2 episodes), the series goes into this flashback that catches up at episode 9. The "alchemy" in this series is like magic. The Alchemist can take whatever material and transmute it to something else pretty much instantly. Like fix a broken vase by transmuting its pieces. Edward sometimes transmute his mechnical arm into a blade when he needs to fight with it, though no one is ever killed by the brothers. They're not superheros and I thought episode 8 was really good when it showed just how human and believable Ed is... heros can be terrified too.

If I make a rating system for anime... I'd do something like this:
Buy it legit cuz I'd feel guilty not buying such a great anime - Masterpiece
Burn on CDRs and keep - Excellent series
Burn on CDRWs and erase after showing it to my brother and friends - Good series
Download, watch, then delete - Okay series
Don't bother downloading - It sucks

Great series, even though it's gonna be 52 episodes long and I'm a cheap bastard, I think I'll spend the 13 blank CDRs it'll take to burn and keep it. I don't have 13 extra CDRWs anyways .

Mustang is really nuts! In the first episodes he was so precise and acted like a man, here he shows his mad side ; the HawkEye girl rules, BTW, I like her a lot! And we see that Mustang really kicks a$$ in combat, some action, finally...
