Is it just me or is the thought of a blatantly caucasian girl like MJ Hart playing the role of a "Ryoko" a little weird?

...umm, considering my read of her personality in the anime and manga
was borderline-PMS more times than I care to count...

as a twenty-something-year-old sushi bar hostess. Ryoko discovers she is mankind's only hope in destroying a coven of murderous wolverines who are hatched every 5,000 years and-if left unchecked-will destroy all humanity

well, if they can pull a better story(line) than the cliche-of-the-week fiasco the
anime was.... A suishi bar hostess?

You mean they're NOT going to
westernize it for our sensibilities over here?

...I give it 3 eps before they pull it off air
