Just recently began airing. I think the second episode is out by now...
Anyway, I just watched the first ep and... WOW. Incredible animation and character designs plus an intriguing story (it's based on The Count of Monte Cristo, after all).

This Gankutsuou almost gave me a headache when I watched the first episode, but now that I've seen the 3rd I really can't wait for the next ep... I know only a little of the "Count of MonteCristo" story, but I've asked around a bit for it, and it looks like this anime is following it quite closely (I still have to investigate the matter more).
The character design is very cool, the animation is flawless, and the voice actors' voices fit very well. Those textures used all around look weird at first, but they make this show unique
