Well kidz, just when you thought it finished with the OVA... Here we go again?
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=6053
Air dates for the first episodes are March 5th and March 27th.
So, I wonder what's gonna happen this time. Will we get a new cast of girls (I hope not!).
Will the story continue in space? (They finally become fully fledged Comet Blasters)
Will we see more of the two other Meteor Sweepers? (They became Comet Blaster Test Pilots).
WILL WE SEE MODERN FIGHTER AIRCRAFT???? WILL WE SEE THE F-15 EAGLE IN MIKAZE'S POSTER?????????????????????????????????
I HOPE SO!!!

...hey I enjoyed the ocassional view up Mikaze's afterburner can myself
Well, they could've picked a much, much worse series to continue.
Hopefully less of the 'I feel like a loser, but I'm gonna win in the end'
and more of the 'girls behind the stick' action... no, no, not THAT stick
the OTHER stick! Sjeez... dirty minds....
Eps broadcast every month...

Well I made a shocking discovery...
WE GET NEW CHARACTERS.
Great... just great. But thankfully the old main girls are still around, I don't know if their importance/appearances will diminish in the coming episodes though...

Well, I haven't seen the OAV episodes yet, so I don't know what the original girls status was at the end of those episodes. First impression I get, is that
the "original crew" will be mentoring the "newbies" I have yet to see the newest TV series also.
What I also found on the offical website was
an apron that's included in the limited edition DVD volume 1 of the new series... with a flight/pressure suit motif. Female version, of course.
don't know if I mentioned this before, but it took me over a year before I realised that Stratos 4, could be read as "Stratos Vier", or "Stratosphere".
That was sort of a "d'oh" moment for me, as I grew up speaking english and german.

Well yeah, "Stratos" is obviously derived from stratosphere, and the name of the rocket plane the girls refurbish as a project has "Stratos 4" on the tail.
It's just that from the time I first heard of the series, a year ago or more, I always thought of the title as "Stratos Four", since I use english the most when going about my anime and manga interests. One day though, I just looked at the title, and "Stratos Vier" came to mind, and I was amazed I hadn't made the connection before. Especially since german words have cropped up in some of the more popular anime/manga. Neon Genesis Evangelion (Evangelium, Eva-Eve, Gerhirn, Seele, Nerv), and Weiss Kreuz are some good examples.
