MegaCon 2006 Report

So as far as I can tell, I'm the only one who went to megacon this past weekend from the boards. We missed out on friday, but here's a rundown of the con:
Saturday:
Wore Setsuka for the costume contest....had many fanbois chase me down for pictures (and one try to pullt the sword out of the umbrella after I'd already told him it was broken........*smack*) Kinda hid in an alcove with my friends til the costume contest, then the fanbois found us there too and we had no escape route....*le sigh*
Costume contest was awesome, 3 of my friends won awards, which made me super happy. Here are pictures from the costume contest: http://www.cosplaylab.com/events/megaco ... efault.asp
My friends who won were dressed as Raphael Sorel from SCII, Metal Man, and a char from DDR.
Sunday:
Dressed more comfortably (as Rage from the Gravitation Manga) and basically just hit up the dealer's room. We were going to stay for the D'espairs Ray concert, but the line was already through the con center and we had to get back to pick my dog up from boarding. Got to meet George Lowe (voice of Space Ghost) who my friend knows really well, so she introduced me.
All in all, it was a good chance to see friends and to meet new people, and to buy stuff (if you wanted FMA or Bleach, which I got a few Bleach things Including a Kon plushie and a Rukia symbol for my truck). Basically, if you went early, you MIGHT be able to get into a D&D game, and that was something to do, or go around the dealer's room 20 times. Aside from the Joss Whedon track, not a lot was going on.
I didn't get many pictures this weekend, mainly cus I couldn't raise my arms very high on Saturday, and there wasn't much to take pictures of on Sunday. But I have a few that other people took of me here:

Will probably go next year, just because of the dealer's room, and the guests. Most likely WILL NOT cosplay again at a non-hotel based con though, mainly for the fact that walking in those dang shoes was not fun... and we had to park almost a mile away....
