Witchblade...

I know I said I would stay clear from this but since I actually like some of Turners art (Fathom/Witchblade). Something made me watch this.
No, I didn't want to bring it up but this anime has revived my case of mammophobia. (c)2006
Anyway, pricking through the ehr.. balloons of this first annoyance it's actually interesting. (for a fist episode)
The scene is set in a post apocalyptic Japan somewhere in the near future.
Our soon to be blade wielder is a mother seemingly being hunted by a Welfare organisation (NSWF) that wants to take care of her daughter.
Eventually they get caught and after some drama they get separated.
Masane (Mom) ends up in jail where the first fight takes place.
It's not often that I see a freakazoid that gives me the creeps in a anime, I would say Gonzo has nice ideas about monsters.
But what I like about Masane in ass kick mode is that they turned her into a bloodlusty mother in law from hell and this is a good thing because after giving her such a fanserviced transformation I would be pretty pissed too.
Anyway ... monster bites the dust and she "escapes" to search for her daughter who managed to escape from NSWF being "helped" by a photographer.
Golly ... it's watchable and if they are able to get passed a monster of the week setup it has some potential.
