Huge smackdown on scanlation sites?

Seems that that the Japanese Digital Comics Association in conjunction with other major Japanese and US manga publishers,
including Viz, Yen Press, Vertical, and Tokyopop, will be jointly seeking legal remedies against online manga piracy.

Well you could have seen it coming and you can blame the aggregator sites who continue to host series long after they've been licensed, or host actual scans of current licensed manga.
Now I hope they won't go after the small fishes the real scanlators who work on material that doesn't stand a chance to get licensed..
But imho they can bring down the sites that have paid membership accounts and earn money without paying the real creators.
