have you seen this anime? watched it on youtube a few moments ago and i really enjoyed it.
the original manga is written by Hideyuki Kikuchi and like vampire hunter d and all his other works darkside blues iconoclasticly mixes cyberpunk with gothic/baroque style. pretty awesome.

the anime only scratches the surface of the whole story and leaves most of the stuff that happens unclear.

what i recognize is, that Hideyuki Kikuchi was heavily inspired by william gibson's neuromancer triology with the hole subject of a global company ruling the world which belongs to an god-like family living in space (the Tessier-Ashpool family in neuromancer).
which is awesome, too, because william gibson is the best dude in history :D

edit:
oh, i forgot. you can watch the whole movie on youtube. sadly, with atrocious englisch dub.

Just wish they wouldn't be so repetitive about the looks.. <g>

BTW you should read the Takeshi Kovacs trillogy.

yes, you have to like bishounen dudes.
I did not read the manga but I really enjoyed the two vampire hunter d animes. especially the first one for its sleek yet raw design. the second one maybe is a bit too polished for my liking, but nevertheless it is fantastic particulary the architecture in it.

richard morgan sounds very interesting. i'm ordering the first novel on amazon right now!
