Just for the record, Andrei's never been shooting in his life. His first time will probably be with me, when we can steal him away from his mother.

I've always found that the beauty of Japan is this: while guns are technically illegal, no one checks.

FMP hasn't really changed my life, I still generally intensely dislike anime. It's due to little things, like horrible plot, horrible physics, overstereotyped and shallow characterizations...but FMP is one of 2 series I will watch. The other, which I will love for all and forever, is Azumanga Daioh. (I found out later, though, that this anime was pretty much modelled - with some artistic liberties - after the high school years of a Japanese friend of mine. She does fansubs in her free time, and worked on both FMP and FMPF. No, I won't bug her about either series.)

My 1st experience of FMP! came around July of 2003. It was on Anime Network On Demand as the 1st episode. I thought this series was quite funny, and unlike anything I've ever watched, then when it suddenly switched its gears, and became serious, I became all the more hooked. It has become my favorite anime series EVER.

FMP! has captured me in a way few anime can do. All forms of its media are within me. Anime, manga, novels, what have you, FMP! just has that sort of realism with unrealistic distinctions. This is a series you can get involved in emotionally, and have a real good laugh at the same time.
