that lovely shiny modbot...

Post by Anonz »

Hi, so I come here every so often and I happened to see that you had this thing called a modbot. And I thought that this could be the answer to my problems. You see, I have endless spam problems where I come from. Now, my previous contingency plan for dealing with spam was basically, whoever happens to be conveniently online at the time of a spam attack would get promoted to moderator. Well, this didn't really work since the people I promoted didn't actually do anything and the rest of my members got angry that random people were being given mod powers. Since then, my only option has been to turn off guest posting.

But I'm wondering if this automated moderator could be a solution.
So my question is, how does it work? well? medium well? not so well (gets confused a lot and deletes posts randomly)?

and no, I did not just join to ask this question. I really am a die hard fmp fan!
thank you

Basically the modbot is an experimental system that uses fuzzy logic and a Bayesian scoring anti-spam system to deal with spam posters.....

It became self-aware at 2:14am EDT August 29, 1997," President
Bush said in a news conference. "Originally, it was feared that
modbot would launch a global thermonuclear war.
Anyone not wearing two million sunblock would have a, how do you say in English,
a 'real bad day'."

The truth, according to French officials, is even stranger. It is believed
that modbot will remain operational until at least the year 2029. At that
time, according to Jean-Paul Renault, France's Minister of Science, the
computer system will develop a time travel system.

Renault claims that modbot will use this time travel system to send agents
back to 1997 to kill Lelouch Lamperouge.

"We have no idea why Lelouch Lamperouge is such a threat to modbot," said
Renault. "Perhaps he will lead a revolt against the dominance of the
machine, just as he rebelled against the strictures of the British Royal
family.
When pressed about the identity of these agents from the future, Renault
said they were androids created by Cyberdyne Systems in Cupertino, California.

A spokeswoman for Cyberdyne rejected the claim, stating "Cyberdyne is on
the forefront of developing androids for the home and industrial use. We do
not manufacture killers."

Eyewitness reports of a tall, heavily armed man with an Austrian accent at
the crash scene are still unconfirmed................

aka it doesn't work automagically it's just a special warning account. ;)

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

Ok, I have just one question left

If I travel back in time using this system, will I end up in a parallel universe or will I be able to create a temporal paradox?

Cuz there are a few people I would really like to kill but not if it's not going to affect our time line. If people in another universe have a problem with their history, it's their own damn problem.
