Seems boxing is still popular in some places.

Very popular in the Philippines actually. Good news was I didnt have work the day after... President declared it a holiday after Pacquiao won... and I was playing "spot the senator" amongst the audience... and almost cried when half the country's senate was there instead of at work.

All he's missing is an action figure with left uppercut action. :P

And yes, we *DID* get an OFFICIAL national holiday the day after he won just to celebrate. He's that big here. Hell, I got a day off work so we could watch the parade when he got back here.... (He's been granted Hero status by the President no less. *mumbles*)

lol, yes, it's true. As for action figures...well, he already has wood carvings/ metal statuettes of himself so..*shrugs*

...and on the day of the match...I wasn't really surprised to see most of the male hospital staff cramped in the changing room with a TV watching the match.
