Full-Auto Steyr SPP

Many people have refered to the SPP edition as the civilian semi-automatic version of the TMP. But in the fake advertizing scene the henchman claims it has a 600 rounds a min. rate of fire. Not to mention that when sousuke shoots up the Thugs in the alley the weapon was shot automatic. I know that in real life the SPP is an semi-automatic oversized pistol not a full-auto SMG, but with a little money (which sousuke has plenty of) can it be modified into an Automatic?

...is prolly a dirty little secret you won't find many manufacturer's admitting to.
When you think of 'civilian' and 'military' versions of the same weapon,
can you think of much difference in function beyond limiting the rate of fire? --
somehow I can't see much civilian use for rapid fire in built-up urban areas
to stop a hostage situation.

hearing automatic fire could intimidate armed robbers into surrendering without a gunfight, although it is unlikely. But how about a gangrape situation when the girl is still on the ground, you could eliminate most of them before they had even noticed you were there. Not sure whether thats justifiable in court though........"Sir, so what your telling me is that you illegally modified your gun, shot 4 guys in the head wounded 3 others and you think you'll walk out of here without jailtime" :(

I don't see a real use for an extra-lightweight automatic weapon. Accuracy suffers heavily in automatic fire, especially in lighter weapons.

And besides, an M1911A1 or a Browning HP will do just as fine for capping people at close range (indeed, the M1911 was designed to stop charging Moslem extremists with large machetes because the Army's .38 Long Colt wasnt cutting it.)

And is also far easier and more convenient to conceal.

My bet is it was just a error like the SPLAT bullets, the tmp (incidentaly it is nolonger made by styer but now by Brügger & Thomet as the MP9) was probubly what the writter wanted but they got confussed at the last minute as for it being an automatic perhaps with some less then legal modifications? as for Sousuke using it, Smgs have there uses and the TMP or SPP are small enough to fit in his school bag offers a full 30 round mag and is a lot more contolable then say the glock 18. besides we have yet to see Sousuke ( at least i have yet ) use any thing other then his Glock 26, Tokarov TT, SPP, Shotguns, P90 , or CAR15

*EDIT i saw bonta Use a M1911A1 in fumofu and of course the AK's and russin SMGs *
