Woah Nazgul, don't explode now

. I love HnG! The intensity and the l33t character developement :thumbs-up:. I actually have a go board, the Chinese kind, thin piece of square wood. It's a Chinese chess board on the other side. But I dunno how to play go, I just know how to play the other game that's like connect-5... get 5 pieces in a line and you win.

Well, haven't touched it in years though, won't it be cool if it's haunted also? Hehe, "ghost in a dress."

But ouch, "Bush voter." That harsh :p.

@ Circle: you realy should learn to play it. The nice part about it is that the rules are fairly simple. But the consequenses of you're moves are dificult to over see.
By the way you know that there must be blood on the board for it to become haunted. I think it was TT who offerd to donate some blood. You might want to get it while he isn't dead yet. With TT you never know

Yeah, there were 2 novels and I think a sega game was made for between the series and movie.

And there was a sega game after the movie...

I'll try looking for some of the websites that have the synoposis of the novels... I can't remember it all exactly and can't type out right now what I do.

Well, I've finally watched the movie. Pretty good. But I don't think Ruri said "baka" even once throughout the whole movie =(. Though what happened after S1 and before this movie is sorta vague, I get the general idea. Quick spoiler question:

So Akito suffered heavy experiments that changed his sense, what about Yurika? Is she just turned into an interface?"

I also finally found 2 songs I was looking for but couldn't find before: "Anata No Ichiban Ni Naritai" (Ruri's song in the talent show) and "Itsuka... Shinjite" (the background song during the end of ep26). Ah, happy day.

Gonna watch the movie again but in English this time since Nadesico is one of those anime where more than one person talks at the same time so the subtitles go fast, sometimes.

i got the manga and i have to say the TV was good the manga was very good as well, but the movie went down hill they turned a lovable comiedic story in t a quest for revenge that was wrong

. I also checked out the Sega Saturn game's opening that was ripped and avaliable in the download section.

I understand how the movie is very different from the TV, but characters are the same and even Akito's darker personality isn't totally unbelievable of him. Yea, the difference is like the difference between Kenshin TV and Kenshin OAV.

Well Akito's personality partly changed (i would be pissed beyond repair) .. because of the experiments afaik.

but i hated the open end of the movie .. . i heard some rumors of a second movie .. but after a lot of checking i think it's a hoax.

There's been nothing happening on a second movie, other than gossip and fanboy prayers

There was a game that took place after the movie, and if I recall correctly,

Akito was hardly in it. Yurika went back to Nergal with Ruri and they each captained a Nadesico. I guess there was some more work to clean up, I can't remember what they were supposed to be doing in the game.

I liked the movie and didn't mind the end. Even though it seemed abrupt, basically everything in it was taken care of. I think it would have been a bad ending if they had made a super-duper happyhappy sugar ending.

Re the manga- the manga is totally different, but I like how they lifted several elements from it for the movie. But, really, the manga is a chaotic mess

Darn, for some reason when I open the intro I got from the downloaded section, there's no video, only the music, pretty good though.

I was a fanatic of Nadesico way back, but now it's Full Metal Panic! It was awesome, and so was the movie, it's the best anime movie I've ever seen, and WILL ever see, unless they make a crazy good Full Metal Panic! movie that really messes up my emotions, like Martian Successor Nadesico: The Prince of Darkness with happiness, glee, suspense, and last of all, total sadness and joy. To really get into the movie, and to fully appreciate it, you need the experience from the first series, it fills you in with what's happening, and the reason for some scenes. The ending finishing with that so beautiful music, and Ruri something like, [ecs]"He'll come back to us, and if he doesn't I'll just go out and find him." And then someone, I forget her name, goes like "Ruri?" Ruri turns, "because he's important to all of us." Then comes in the music at the perfect time, signaling the end of the movie, and most likely the end of Nadesico in anime.[/ecs]Yeah, I almost cried when I watched the ending, I still got all touchy about the ending even after the couple of times watching it. I have the movie's OST, fans of the movie must get it.

Even thinking about the whole of Martian Successor Nadesico and the movie gets me all sensitive, truly a series to watch, with the movie to finally bring everything to a close. Can't fully project the beauty of the ending...

Edit: An Akito bent on revenge is awesome.

Well, in my months of absence, watched nadesico multiple times, and it is really worth it, great stuff. The movie was very nice too, except that it totally screwed up the series' storyline, and it ended like.... well, it didn't look lile an ending, more like the director just cut it half-way...

and for the peeps wo really liked the show, i suggest reading this parody on the script, it's hilarious.

Ok, what I know about nadesico. 1 Series, 1 movie, 1 Dreamcast game. 4 Volume Manga series, that has a totally different plot.

There was supposed to be a second series, but like Stellvia II, it has been scrapped.
