There were many Muslim battles fought in the month of Ramadan
e.g .The battle of Badr or Tabouk, The conquest of Mecca, Rhodes. etc.

I can't see how one small meal gives you enough strength for the entire day
Maybe medically it doesn't make sense but spiritually who knows .. mind over body.

IIRC, the SRT guy who was suggesting a mutiny against Tessa was an American as well, Corporal Spake.

And a Marine, and not only that, from Force Recon, no less. *shakes head* Spake, Spake, how low you have fallen...

My impression of those west coast Americans is that they are surfur dudes. ^_^ And besides, Marines tend to sweat alot as well.

Ahem... "swear alot". Not that your interpretation isn't true either, though.

Guen was Vietnamese, though, and darned if I know where Dan(n)igan's from. And honestly, I don't blame Spake either, given the circumstances.

When I wached FMP anime, I kind of missed some cultural and religious aspects... Usually, when people around the world cather together, there is always some cultural and/or religious things and debates going on. I assumed that in TDD and Mithril showing those were forbitten in order to avoid non-necessary conflicts among soldiers but, after reading this topic, I quess cultural and religious things were just left away of anime. Kind of sad, because I personally find them very interesting, in series and IRL as well.

Just waiting for novel translation...
