the manga for nadesico is totally evil, there is no reason at all to read it. all the point everybody likes in the series do not exist in the manga. DO NOT READ IT!

I'll have to dissagree with you there RF. The manga isn't evil. It is however very different. You have to be prepared for that when you read the manga. The plot is inherantly different, it is also much darker. While the Anime is more of a comedy. You have to judge the manga on it's own terms, not based on the anime.

I agree with you there. I find manga that walks lock-step with the anime boring and a waste of money.

Well sometimes it's nice. But in this case, the point I am making is that the manga has a completly different plot to the anime. So they don't compare at all.

the plot is totally different. just saying i liked anime much better. none of my frineds who read manga liked it though, but oh well.

Has anyone watched the movie that came after the series?
Nadesico Prince of Darkness where Ruri is slightly older now and the Captain? Its got a much more serious tone and well I hate when series have open endings lol. Hope that doesnt really spoil anything.

Yea, I like the movie too. Wish they covered the events between the series and the movie in some animation too.

I love Nadesico. That was the first ADV title I ever saw back in 2001. It's also how I discovered the genius of voice actors like Spike Spencer, Brett Weaver, and Tiffany Grant, among others. Akito and Yurika are one of my favorite anime couples. Plus there's some good lookin' ladies in it too! (eg Minato, Yurika)
