Can anyone explain this picture? Does this happen in TSR?

I'm pretty sure that hasn't ever happened in anime continuity. The only time we see Tessa or Kaname enter an Arm Slave, it's in the first series (Cat and Kitten's Rock and Roll, and Is Narashino Burning? respectively), and they aren't wearing pilot suits anyway.

It's most likely to be fanservice, although that red pilot suit somehow conjures images of a demonic-looking helmet to go with it.

I thought it was fan art as well but the picture I posted was actually from one of Jae's scans. So that kind of made me wonder if it actually happened.

Just to clarify: by "fanservice", I didn't mean fanart, but just something that was made (whether by official sources or otherwise) for people like us to drool over.

I could imagine them in AS ripping up the battlefield. It would be cool if they did operate AS. Would make things more interesting.

M9 AS + Tessa Clumsy factor = tactical disaster ... likely for both sides.

Shouldn't it be Tessa + Kaname + in close proximity together + two VERY
assertive egos (perhaps Sousuke in the local vicinity) = VERY VERY interesting times onscreen

I don't know about you guys but I think Kaname looks good like that.

However, Kaname looks better in this picture.

tHat AS pilot suit that Kaname is wearing looks like version that Amalgam AS pilot might use. Also Tessa's uniform is black that is usually in anime color of bad guy. So maybe they change sides to Amalgam? Leonard might have something to do with it....

I think that both pictures of Kaname in the AS suit are neat. Do you have a bigger picture of the one with Tessa? Also the one with Sousuke is rather funny. They need to be close.
