It's been a LONG time since this came out now, but I still love it every time I watch it (got the RAW the night it was released in Japan). I find it great how Al is such a smartass. As Taurec said, if you notice, the Lambda Driver is used offensively on numerous occasions. I also think you could probably shoot some energy ball or beam at a longer range, since all you have to do is visualize it.
