The gallery page for the FMP! series manga covers is almost complete (pending ADV vol 9 and further Comic Mission covers)

I'm posting this because the 'dustjacket naughties collection' is now complete. The one feature ADV couldn't include...

As I update more gallery pages this autumn I may post about it here, until I get around to having a 'site updates' page I maintain again.

I wonder why ADV couldn't include it. It wasn't THAT bad.

ADV's releases don't have dust jackets- didn't have anyplace to put these. They span the whole inside of the dust jacket. I expect the cost of publishing with the dust jackets would have cost prohibitive.

I've edited them- the whole image is of the character next to their name in large print- but the whole thing is pretty large and I figured people really only cared about seeing the character.

It seems that http://fmp.abstratica.org/images/mags/d ... -08-04.jpg and http://fmp.abstratica.org/images/mags/d ... -08-03.jpg feature Mithril soldiers, with Tessa and Sousuke saluting the former Urzu 1. I can guess most of them from help from the novels or from The Second Raid.

What's with some of the pictures saying "the Core"?

"the core" features started sometime last year (October?)- they're two page spreads that appear to be offering various types of basic FMP info- some seem to be 'behind the scenes', some seem to be reviewing basic story facts. I'm not sure if they are happening because of TSR, but it sort of looks like it based on what they've mostly been about.

The neatest thing about them, IMO, are the little strip comics.

DragMag 2004 is as done as I can make it, atm.
If anyone has the 2 issues I'm missing, I'm willing to buy or beg for scans.

One thing that bugs me about Full Metal Panic!, is that those at Japan, or those who can understand and read Japanese get all these information that I miss out on, and so if I did start lessons or other ways of learning Japanese, being comfortable with a new language would take months. I guess this is just about every manga/anime fan's dream, knowing the language.

i know you're probably really busy but it'd be cool if you or someone else could translate the comics and/or let us know what this "back-info" is that you are talkin about ^^

EDIT: backup of jae's gallery finished :)

Yeah, there is alot of neat stuff, lots of FMP stuff, on the Yahoo auctions Japan site including DM issues. But, most sellers won't ship to the US, so I'd have to use a proxy buyer- and the fees for that, plus shipping, make it too expensive to buy a low cost item. I'd also need to use a proxy buyer to be absloutely sure of the terms, since everything is all in japanese only.

If I were spending a few hundred dollars... it would be useful.
