A New Beginning Part 1

One day Sousuke was looking for a job on the job broads at an Internet café in Hong Kong. He found one say that someone was looking for a marksman, The Job paid $20 an hour and Room and Board was Free and It was in Paris France. He e-mailed the address, He got e-mail back right away saying they will met him at the airport, The rest of the e-mail said return to the past in huge black Bold letters, Sousuke felt a little puzzled.

“Return to the past?”

Sousuke said to himself.


Next day at the airport.

“Fight 777 from Hong Kong to Paris France has now landed.”
“Fight 777 from Hong Kong to Paris France has now landed.”

Sousuke was having a coffee at restaurant at the airport when someone tap his shoulder Sousuke turn his head.

“Hi.”

“Who are you??”

Sousuke pulled out his gun out his bag.

“My name is Mireille Bouquet I am the one that hired you over the Internet.”

“Do you remember, please put down your gun your making a scene!!”

Sousuke put back his gun in his bag and zip up his bag.

“ Sorry for that, I did not know who you were.”

“ I will take you back to my apartment.”

Mireille and Sousuke took a taxi to Mireille apartment.

At the apartment.

“Shoot I forgot my keys inside the apartment.”

Said mireille searching through her handbag.

Mireille knocking at the door, the door open.

“Thanks for open the door I forgot my keys again.”

“No problem.”

Said Kirika.

“Who is this?”

“Oh I forgot to introduce Sagara Sousuke He will be helping us from now on.”

“Hi.”

Said Kirika.

“Sousuke this is Kirika Yuumura she my partner.”

Sousuke and Kirika both exchange handshakes and bows.

“She looks little young to be your partner? And she is very quite.”

“Don’t let appearances fool you she is an excellent marksman.”

“She gotten me out of numerous jams. ”

Mireille and Sousuke sat at the dinner table, Kirika was making some tea and put some cookies on dinner tray.

“Do you want something to eat or have some tea, you must tired after long trip.”

Kirika put the dinner tray on the table and sat down and starting to drink her tea, Soskue turn towards Kirika.

“Kirika have we met somewhere?”

“I really don’t know, I can’t remember my past very well something called Noir takes over my body when I wake up I can’t remember what I did the next day.”

“Is that true Mireille?”

“It very real I seen it happen lots of times.”

“I recall something in your file Sousuke you had a girlfriend called Kaname Chidori who had some kind of new technology called whispered in her head, don’t worry I not going after Chidori, It seems that both me and Kirika and you and Chidori have something in common.”

”What do we have in common?”

Soskue getting a little mad.

“We are protecting someone that we love.”

“I not in love with Chidori !!I am just worried that she will fall in the wrong hands.”

“Please don’t play games with me I know that you are in love with Chidori I can see it in your eyes, anyways I make your bed for the night are you okay sleeping on the floor in the living room for the time being .”

“You can borrow some my blankets and one of my pillows.

Kirika with a big smile on her face.

“Thank you very much.”

Said Sousuke.

While Mireile was making Sousuke bed, Kirika was making supper and Soskue took his gun apart and started to clean his gun.

“Are you going to clean your gun Mireile?”

“I all ready clean my gun yesterday.”

Mireile finish making Sousuke bed and went in kitchen.

“Kirika something smells good what is it.”

“Curry.”

“Kirika I have never seen you smile in long time and talk so long are you okay?”

Mireile put her hand on Kirika forehead.

“You don’t have a fever.”

“I’m fine.”

Said Kirika with a big smile.

Sousuke was unpack his bag and Mireile walk up beside Sousuke.

“ Are you a military otaku?”

“No I used to work for a paramilitary group.”

“Time for supper.”

After supper Mireile sat down at her computer and check her e-mails.

“No e-mails today that is strange.”

“Dose anyone want dessert?”

Said Kirika.

“We both do!”


Said Mireile.

As Mireile, Sousuke and Kirika sat down and ate dessert.

“Where is Chidori now?”

“ She is in Japan right now.”

“Is there someone looking after Chidori right now?”

“Yes there is someone looking after Chidori right now, please no more question about Chidori right now, I am trying to get Chidori and my former boss out of my head right now.”

“Well look at the time its get late and I am getting a little tried form talk all day, Well I am going to bed It was great meeting you Sousuke for the first time.”

“Goodnight.”

Said Sousuke and Kirika.

I got myself a new beta reader (my last one quit on me!!) so everything

The signature at the end of the e-mail said “Return To The Past” in huge black letters. Sousuke felt a little puzzled.

“Hi.” said a calm, feminine voice

Sousuke pulled out his gun from his bag. “Who are you??”

“My name is Mireille Bouquet. I am the one that hired you over the Internet, don’t you remember? Please put down your gun. You’re making a scene!”

Sousuke carefully holstered his gun. “I cannot be too careful. I did not know who you were.”

“I will take you back to my apartment.”

Mireille drove Sousuke to an elegant apartment in an old French neighborhood and knocked on one of the doors. The door opened.

“Thanks for opening the door again. I forgot my keys.”

“No problem.” said the young girl standing in the door. Sousuke was somewhat taken aback. “Who is this?” he asked.

“Oh, the introductions. Sousuke Sagara? Kirika Yuumura, my partner. Sousuke will be working for us from now on.”

“Hi.” Kirika said somewhat shyly. Sousuke and Kirika both exchanged tentative handshakes and bows.

“She looks a little young to be your partner. And she is very quiet.”

“Don’t let appearances fool you, Sousuke. She is an excellent marksman, and has gotten me out of numerous jams. ”

Mireille and Sousuke sat at the dinner table. Kirika was making some tea and laying some cookies on a dinner tray.

“Do you want something to eat or have some tea? You must be tired after the long flight.”

Kirika put the dinner tray on the table and sat down to drink her tea. Souske looked over at Kirika.

“Kirika… have we met somewhere?”

“I really don’t know, I can’t remember my past very well. Something called ‘Noir’ takes over my body, and when I wake up the next day I can’t remember what I did.”

“Is that true Mireille?”

“It is VERY real. I have seen it happen lots of times.” She took a sip of tea. “I recall hearing some rumors about you, Sousuke. That while you were previously employed, you had… relations with a girl named Kaname Chidori? Who had some kind of ability called whispered in her head? Don’t worry, I’m not going after Kaname. It seems that both Kirika and myself, and you and Kaname have something in common.”

”What do we have in common?” Sousuke said, getting a little mad. She’d just touched on a part of himself he didn’t want to revisit.

“We are protecting someone that we love.”

“I am not in love with Kaname! I am just worried that she will fall in the wrong hands.”

“Please don’t play games with me. I know that you are in love with Kaname, I can see it in your eyes. Anyways, I’ll make you a bed for the night; are you okay sleeping on the floor in the living room for the time being?”

“You can borrow some of my blankets and one of my pillows.” Kirika said with a big smile on her face.

“Thank you very much.” said Sousuke.

While Mireile was making Sousuke’s bed, Kirika was making supper and Sousuke had his gun stripped for cleaning.

“Are you going to clean your gun as well, Mireile?”

“I already cleaned my gun yesterday.”

Mireile finished setting up Sousuke’s bed and went into kitchen.

“Kirika something smells good! What is it?”

“Curry.”

“Kirika, I’ve never seen you smile like that in long time and talk so much. Are you okay?” Mireile put her hand on Kirika forehead. “You don’t have a fever.”

“I’m fine.” said Kirika with a big smile.

Sousuke was unpacking his bag when Mireile walked up beside Sousuke.
“Are you a military otaku?”

“No I used to work for a paramilitary group. I cannot release their name to you, though.”

“Time for supper!”

After supper Mireile sat down at her computer and checked her e-mails. “No e-mails today. That is strange.”

“Does anyone want dessert?” asked Kirika.

“We both do!” said Mireile.

“Where is Kaname now, Sousuke?”

“In Japan, I suppose.”

“Is there someone looking after her right now?”

“Please, no more question about Kaname. I am trying to get her and my former Captain out of my head right now.” His final goodbye to them both at Narita still weighed on his mind.

“Well look at the time. It’s getting late and I am getting a little tired. I’m going to bed. It was great meeting you Sousuke for the first time. I think we will work well together.”

“Goodnight.” said Sousuke and Kirika.
