Any model builders out there?

Post by j_a_reyes »

Hi all!

I'm not exactly new to the forums....I've been looking around the forums for years now without joining (no, I'm not a stalker).

Anyhow, I'll keep the introduction brief and clarify that this question is about plastic models (just in case someone construes it as like....model body...building... or something) Anyyyhooo my questions are these:

1) Does anybody know of any custom build jobs for any of the arm slaves from fmp?
2) Does anybody know of the kinds of materials that model builders use to do things like mods to already existing models?

I'm in the process of using the skeleton from the old perfect grade evangelion to construct an m9 somehow....yes......somehow.... and need some help into looking for materials that I can use for the custom building part (seeing as how that's a huge portion of this project)

In any case, any help would be much appreciated! thanks!

note: I wasn't sure if this thread should be posted here....if it's in the wrong place then by all means move it.

BWAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!

Welcome to the insane asylum new poster, please check your sanity at the door. Please remember, we cannot be held responsible for any sanity that was damaged, lost or stolen during your stay here.

Model kits? I use to build/mod kits waaaaaaaay back in the dark ages (Yes, even us barbarians had some free time between pillaging villages :P ).

I've tried googling for info once, but I never found any english language hits on anyone making an M9. You may want to take a stab at that. The only advice I can give about customizing is to hunt around the various model shops for kits. Looking at the online shops makes this fairly easy. Unless you can make your own molds, this can be very time consuming and expensive.

I'm looking forward to the end product. Please take in process pics if you can as I'm sure there are many here who are curious.

Good luck :D

Model builders? Now how possibly could you take that as anything else
than plastic model kits? Same as Killer, I used to do that as a kid
-- darn, was I even that young? -- but I've since dropped out of it. Let's
just say QC was never my strongpoint in building them.

Good luck in your search, and if you do find and build some, please by all
means share! And yes this is an appropos place for this thread.
