Don’t own Full Metal Panic or Gundam Wing, or either of the shows characters in any way shape or form.
Oi, this chapter is best described as filler I guess. Not much action or anything, like that, but I hope people can still bring themselves to stomach it. No real warnings. Just Sousuke and Heero abuse via Kaname and Relena and some sappy moments, as well as Kurz’s and Duo’s discovery.
*biting nails nervously* Anyway, here it is hope you like. ^_^

“What the…” Duo groaned under his breath as he felt himself being brought back to consciousness by patting slaps to his face. Forcing his eyes open, he shook his head and pushed the offending hands away. “Get the fudgie off, man!”
“Hey, don’t get the wrong idea, I don’t swing that way. I just need to talk.”
Duo blinked rapidly as his vision adjusted to the light, making clear the face that was in front him. The bright blue eyes he saw seemed to fit perfectly with the crooked and cocky grin.
“Would have thought you to be a little quicker being an ex-gundam pilot and all.”
Pushing himself up into a sitting position, the brunette male frowned. “Well, my mind was on what was happening out there with my buddy and his girl.” Finally on his feet he turned to open the door. “Thanks for the sweet memories and all but I gotta be going.”
Kurz’s large hand clamped down forcefully on Duo’s shoulder. “I think they got it handled, buddy. As I said, me and you have to talk.”
His jaw clenching, the one time pilot of Deathscythe decided it was best to hear the blonde male out, after all he was sure he could take him if he didn’t like what he said. “Okay then, “buddy” start, jawing.”

Kaname felt the vein in her forehead swell and throb as a look of pure dread mixed with uncertainty took over her features. She threw herself toward Relena whose face was twisted in a shocked scowl, though it turned to pure shock and surprise as she felt the blue haired girl that was standing beside her pull her to the ground behind the podium.
Still speechless the two girls daringly peeked the tops of their heads over the wooden top, to see before them the front of the room in shambles, including the buffet table, which was turned on its side, foodstuffs littering the floor. And in the middle of all the chaos was a pile of six groaning men, subdued by the two soldiers who stood on each side of them ready to take even more action if they deemed it necessary.
“The danger is passed, I believe.” Spoke Sousuke who knelt down by the most intelligent looking of all the thugs. Grabbing him by the collar and planting his revolver between his eyes he commanded him to talk. The quivering and sobbing man began to beg.
“Please, please, what’s going on? We haven’t…done anything! It was supposed…supposed to be beautiful and fun!”
“He’s telling the truth.” The mercenary of Mithrill looked up and over at Heero who had just finished up inspecting the guns. “They’re full of confetti.” And to emphasize his point he turned one of the toy weapons over; it’s brightly colored contents floated to the floor.
“We were suppose to have shot them off after the Ministers speech to begin the real party. W, we…oh please don’t kill us!”
Sousuke looked down at the pleading man and released him immediately. “It appears a mistake was made, sir. For that I apologize and sincerely hope there is no lasting psychological damage done to your psyche.” He then rose to his feet in military fashion, glancing over at Heero, who was thin lipped and seemingly contemplative. He stood straight in front of the other male and bowed his head. “My actions were rash, and for that…”
“Forget it. Shooting off confetti was not posted in the initial planning of this event. We were not notified of the change, your actions were correct for the circumstances I believe.”
“Thank you, Heero, I…” But before he could finish his sentence he felt his mouth go dry even as sweat began to form on his brow. Heero cocked an eyebrow noticing his change in demeanor and looked to where the other man’s eyes were drifting too. There coming straight toward him was Chidori Kaname, not looking happy in the least and at her side, held in her white knuckled fist was a paper fan. A paper fan that quickly and without warning smacked down right on top of Sousuke’s head. The man who had been swatted fell immediately to his knees, though is voice seemed unaffected. “Kanami. That really hurt.”
Still to furious to form words, Kaname’s already pulsating vein seemed as if it was about to pop. Calmed somewhat however, as a slender hand was placed on her shoulder, that hand belonging to Relena. “It was an unfortunate misunderstanding…however the actions were quite rash and I myself am not happy about…”
Heero cut her off. “Such an action by Miss Chidori was uncalled for, Relena. An apology by the lady should be rendered, I believe.”
Relena’s gentle eyes took on a rare cold glare, and though her smile was present, it was not genuine, nor was the soft calmness in her voice. “Kaname, may I?”
“Oh here, you can have this one.” The brown-eyed young woman spoke somewhat in the same manner as Relena as she handed her another fan. “I always carry a spare.”
“Thank you, very much Miss Chidori.” Then with her usual grace and gentle demeanor Relena Dorlian stepped over beside Heero and raising up her arm, she mimicked Kaname’s earlier action and soon her boyfriend/bodyguard found himself on his own knees, rubbing the growing welt that had begun to form on his head.
“Damn, that really does hurt.”

”Get the hell out of here.”
“What I’m telling you may be the truth. This picture doesn’t lie.”
Duo sat down on the small sofa that graced the office, his mind trying to process the newly discovered information into his brain as rationally as possible. “You’re saying you’re my brother? That we have the same father?”
“Dear old dad was quite the playboy.” Kurz placed an arm around the other man’s shoulder, giving him a friendly pat. “Explains where we get it.”
“I can’t believe this. I, I need more proof.”
“I’m up for a DNA test if you are.” The blonde male took his arm off of Duo, crossing it over his chest with his other arm as he leaned back against the couch. “It’d be somethin’ wouldn’t it?”
A half laugh escaped Duo as he leaned back beside his brother. “Me, having an older brother. I never would have thought it possible. Damn, this world is crazy.”
“Obviously not as crazy as our old man.”
“Guess so.”
The two men then looked at each other and even though, the joke itself was not funny in the least, they began to break out into laughter.

Despite the previous disaster, Relena was able to give her speech and the party continued, the caterers having brought more then enough for the ballroom full of guests. Heero stood beside his charge, as she greeted various dignitaries and so called allies. When there was a break between niceties, he placed his hand, delicately on the small of his girlfriend’s back. “What you did earlier. It was not the wisest thing for your image.”
Wearing a smile all the same as she waved across the room to another guest, speaking to Heero through the grin. “Only news cameras were allowed and you and Mr. Sagara managed to successfully break all of them in the skirmish. No one caught it on film and I’ve survived rumors before.” She then turned to face him, her smile real this time as she gazed up at him. “Now, forgive me and let’s share a dance.”
Deciding that his hurt pride was not reason enough to quell up further anger, not to mention the fact that Relena’s lovely appearance gave him more then enough incentive, he nodded politely to his date, taking her arm to accompany her onto the dance floor.
Kanami lifted her head slightly off of Sousuke’s shoulder to catch a glimpse of Heero and Relena gracing the dance floor. “It’s so romantic isn’t it? A princess and her knight…just like a fairytale.”
“I’m surprised you would have such girlish fantasies, Kanami. They do not seem to suit you.”
Her head left her lover’s shoulder completely to glare up at him. “I am a girl, you know, a fact that sometimes I think you just forget.”
“I never forget what your gender is, Kaname, but a lot of times your actions are anything but that of girl, hence why such a statement from you confuses me.” He gulped a little seeing her expression turn a little more grim, as his mind ran in circles thinking of what to say to smooth over his unintended insult. “I’m simply saying that such girlish dreams are for children, not beautifully grown women such as yourself.”
Kaname’s expression softened, knowing in her heart that Sousuke’s logical mind often took over his vocabulary, making his statements seem cruel and uncaring. But times like these, when she could tell he was trying his hardest to be romantic and complimentary she couldn’t help but internally melt. Though they may not have been the most proper or elegant phrases, they did in fact come from the bottom of his tender heart. Deciding she could not help but love him, she gave him a break, rising up on her tiptoes to kiss his lips, before resting her head against his shoulder once again, pulling him closer to her body in a warming hug. “Good save, soldier.”
