Wo0 has given me a great idea. I think we ought to have a contest for the best Sousuke wallpaper.

If ya'll agree. I'll collect them up and we can have a poll vote for the best one.

Av will verify with hubby to see if he minds if we cough up for a prize., or if it will just be an "honor" thing..

That is a great idea!! Couple of questions - First, can we have a few days to make them? It'd take me a few days just to gather lots of good material. Maybe a week or two deadline to submit, or longer if needed. Second, I think that each person should submit just one. I'll probably make a lot of wallpapers no matter what, but it would probably be fair if each person just picked the one they like the best for the contest. Third, what are the restrictions on the wallpaper images? Sousuke images exclusively, or can it be Sousuke + others? Of course Sousuke images would have to be the overriding element, but there's lots of wonderful pictures of Sousuke + Kaname for instance... :) Also, can it be Sousuke images from manga as well as anime?

Ummm... that's all I can think of off the top of my head... but yeah, lets do it!

(P.S. - I think I must be inexcusably naive given terran's response, but I just don't get it! What do you mean by "Av will verify with hubby to see if he minds if we cough up for a prize., or if it will just be an "honor" thing..")

Sousuke wall paper contest

Okay - deadline will be 8/30. (I,e, I have to have the images by then - to post for votes next day) Email me the link to the wall. (I'll be gone the for a week in the middle of the month, so I can't have a ton of wall papers in my inbox - we'd probably lose an entry or two that way).

Yes - please sousuke ONLY. (this is the sousuke club) I'm not picky about source of image. (well, except hentai of course - none of that... /Av gags...)

I agree - only 1 entry per person.

Did I miss any fine print?

Prize: Full Metal Panic Vol 1 : Animini Mini (it's region 1 - sorry, that's what I could get my hands on.) I will pay to ship it to the winner (up to $5 shipping, shipping method of MY choice)

EDIT: You don't have to be in the club to enter. (but we may "induct" you if you win and aren't a member...)

EDIT2: I'll collect them up and we can have a poll vote for the best one.

Hurry up already. Actually, someone should just open a new topic and post all the wallpapers there with a poll..... Or did you already have that in mind?

Hurry? - doh, SSS - you can't hurry art... (Just for punishment - you have to enter!)

I will open a new topic with a poll when the deadline is complete. I think the entries should be kept "secret" till then. (Unless a bunch of contestants gripe and want them posted earlier...but this makes sense to my tired brain)

as much as I can be.

(If I was TRUELY serious about it - it'd be offering the direct from Japan dvd with Sousuke figurine. My jaw hit the floor though when I saw it was about $80 - sigh. If I could ever afford it (would have to have two - one for me and one to give away) then I'd expect original/handdrawn art... :-o )
