The Oct DM issue hasn't shown up locally yet (as of this past weekend), but I'm going to say I suspect the next volume will only be one part...
I doubt this is much to go on, but in the August DM issue, the pack-in was a collector box for the main novels. The box says it holds 7 books (the existing 6 +new one), and I sort of doubt they'd issue a box if this was gonna be a 2-parter.
Alternatively, could this suggest the end of the main novel series?
I finally got the new DM for October...in the part called "The Core", the author notes that TOMO is the end of the first novel in the new series, but it apparantly isn't a two-parter- so the first 6 novels are the first part of the story, and one can definitely see the new direction he's taking with the story:
Major Spoiler: Arrrrgh, what a horrible, HORRIBLE place to end the book >.< But it finally gives me some respect for Kaname, where the tables are turned and she finally saves Sousuke's life. The ending was shocking, but I'm really impressed that the author had the guts to completely muck up the story like that.
*sigh* looks like I'm going to have to dish out some money for a subscription, now >.<

2a. Interesting chapter. No positive KW/MM but no negatives either. And Kurz is being professional. Ye gods. What's next? Are we actually going to see another tender moment between and Kurz and Melissa? Guess he's taking leadership seriously.
Kaname is...eh...taking...charge...One instance where you could label her as...you know, but given the coicumstances Sousuke doesn't deserve a punch in the gut (He did tell of his plans, she didn't bother to check).
Where did you get the chapter...I tried his site and he still didn't post them on there. I tried mIRC, but couldn't connect for some reason...unless I goofed on mIRC. I'm still mIRC-challenged
Grr...I liked this chapter, but the story is getting even more frustrating as it goes along! I have a feeling that the love triangle is only going to get more tangled.
I don't get why Sousuke only yelled at Kaname, though. I'll have to think about that one.

Perhaps because he's closer to her than Tessa, so it's easier to get angry with her? The whole "you only get really mad at those you love" kind of thing. I'll shy away from out of story explanations.... such as it's cheap easy character conflict between Kaname and Sousuke?
Tessa is SUCH a twit, Kaname wasn't much better in this chapter, but Tessa....
