Yes, I just happened to have watched the Fumoffu episode last night- man, that mental image would make me sit bolt upright in bed as well. ^_^

So, I wonder if everybody will have to abandon ship? I could see one of the
Sharks sending a torpedo into the liner if things go badly, just to in order to
cause mayhem. More importantly, I wonder if Sousuke and Kaname will manage to rescue Tessa from Harrison's clutches- I assume he's stealing one of the liner's launches, or at the very least a lifeboat. I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't scuttling charges already in place, either. Of course, if the Sharks are defeated, or driven off, Harrison isn't going anywhere. I will be surprised if the Pacific Christmas makes port. They were
going to blow up the hijacked airliner to hide Kaname's disappearance, and this whole invitation was basically the second try of this nature.

GODDAMMIT! *hic* Well I probably still owe like a million shots for the first rule anyways. :p

While the story wasn't as SxK fluffy as I would've liked (I dunno, did anyone else feel it just seemed so...abrupt and out-of-nowhere that they realized their feelings for one another?), the action was awesome. :) I loved the part where the Arbalest comes in to save the day, and hilarious dialogue ensues.

So does this mean that Arbalest is supposed to mimic Kaname, since the AI is supposed to match up with Sousuke's personality? Or is it mimicking her because she kinda helped activate its lambda driver? *imagines Arbalest using a mega-halisen to wipe out the Arastols* It kinda makes me wanna know more about Bunny & Tessa's relationship. Or at least more about Bunny.

Actually, having browsed Jaesama's gallery again, it would appear that the Pacific Christmas is not going to be sinking. Instead, it looks like Arbalest is going to play "catch the torpedo", and Harrison is not going to abscond with
Tessa. Though, it does look like Tessa and Sousuke are going for a swim....

Of course, as soon as DVMC is over, the agonizing wait for the next novel
begins. Title appears to be "Never Give Up", and it looks like Leonard is going to make major appearances....

Actually, I think it means that the Arbalest is more like Sousuke was in the beginning, and Sousuke is more like Kaname, b/c of the way the Arbalest is "new" to everything, like Sousuke was, and how Sousuke has to put up with it. It shows the growth of Sousuke's character that he isn't actually like that anymore...that he's becoming more used to his surroundings, and starting to fit in.

Although leave it to the author to throw all of that into utter chaos ^^

HA! As much as I loved it, I remember thinking that Kaname seems to have the worst timing in the world when it comes to contemplating her affections for Sousuke. You'd think when you're running for dear life and bullets are zipping past you on either side, you'd put things like figuring out who you're in love with on the back burner for a few minutes.

That's probably her way of dealing with the stress that comes with combat, otherwise she'd get overloaded.

Also, this is Sousuke in his element. At Jindai, he's the annoying garbage boy who blows up stuff. Out here, he's Sergeant Sousuke Sagara of Mithril, her protector, and he'll be damned if he lets anybody hurt her.

Alright, yeah, Arbalast was cool. But I still say that having Sousuke take on the Arastols in his Bonta-kun suit would have been much cooler. ;)

yeah, but then he'd be stuck to saying, "Fumo, fumo, fumo," all the time, and only Kaname could understand him....

Well, if they plugged him into the commo net, or if he finally figured out how to turn off the voice changer without the whole OS dying. ^_^

Yeah, but he'd look so ridiculous in that Bonta-kun suit....

Incidentally, a picture from that story where Kalinin's Spetsnaz team found Sousuke in the mountains has a young, dashing, handsome, beardless Lt. Kalinin reaching down to a 3-year-old chibi-Sousuke with wide eyes, clutching a Bonta-kun. Maybe that's where the Bonta-kun fetish is from. ^_^

Sousuke's only 16 at the start of the story. Kalinin couldn't have been THAT young. The guy was probably already in his 50s.

Kalinin's only in his 40's. He actually does find Sousuke when Sousuke's only 3 ^^ So he's probably in his early 30's when he finds Sousuke. The picture of him without the beard is cool ;)

He's in his 40s??? :-o Who has a complete head of white hair in their 40s? Sure, he's in shape, but he looks like he's 60. >_<

Anyway, how do we know how old he is?

It says it in DVMC- it mentions that he looks older b/c of the kind of life he's led (who wouldn't look old when you've done the stuff he has?)

My mom has white hair - she just uses color to make it look black.

Stress can turn your hair white. Hell, i've got lots of white hair, as a result of various stresses. (It also started turning white when I was 12).
