ADV has indicated that FMP has been profitable for them. They are taking a chance on the spin-off Ikinari manga.
Where does it come from that FMP isn't popular in the west?
About the manga, ADV is still new in the manga game, and probably their production and distribution systems aren't all that great yet. I'm going to check that out about the early volumes being out of print already, because that would be an important thing to let people know about.
The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.
I can't completely rule out that isn't just a dum presumption on my part - what I can say is that I've been looking through countless larger manga communities, and there's been a chronical lack of chatter about FMP!.. Same thing when it comes to stuff available on ebay about it, or the number of active fansites, etc. The availability of FMP! in my own country has been a pointer (all though it appears it's in the process of recieving local subtitles, if you want to watch anything beyond the 3rd dvd of the first season, you need to have a story import it for you, or do it yourself)
The very fact that it's been near impossible for me to locate scanlations of the manga has been adding to this impression as well.
Of course, the size of the online fan community isn't necessarily proportional with the popularity of the franchise, which is why I used words such as 'seems' and 'all that' - I certainly am not trying to put it down, in fact, I'm altogether suprised at the seeming lack of a large fanbase because I've found it to be very enjoyable. I'm sorry if that comes off as unreasonable.
www.amazon.com are the ones who list the manga's as out of production - there are nearly no 'used and new' available.
Is it just me, or are there way too many talking decapitated heads around these days?

I just found out what you were actually talking about. Now I feel stupid. Sorry, Brandi. I thought you were two different people.
