This novel needs less Tessa and more Chidori.

@Joeshie
...umm, excuse me but, have you perhaps read this novel already?
Or are you basing that just on the fact sj4iy's said it's about Tessa and
the de Danaan crew? Until we hear some more kindly do not shoot your
mouth off in public. And to be fair, Kaname's has had plenty of screentime
and noveltime.

Besides, we all know the main female char of FMP!'s is Betty-chan

Well, to be fair, Tessa and the crew of the TDD didn't have any screentime whatsoever in the previous book...but also, Chidori only had a few pages at the end.
You won't see me complaining about that, however, as Sousuke is my favorite character ;)

My god dude. Take a freaking chill pill. Don't get your panties in a bunch because I would rather read about Chidori rather than boring Tessa.

And also one of the biggest Tessa worshippers around these parts  ...and a mod

I like it when people here can be happy about what we're getting, and not whine about it. There are ways of saying what you said without sounding whiny. Please don't whine and drag down 'yay new material!' threads.
The audience applauded, even though it was not clear what Bush meant.

Well said, bosslady.

Now, to be fair, think about it. Tessa hasn't really had a chance to shine... It's taken more or less for granted that she's a sub genius, but we never get to see her do anything much, except for evading Pasadena's ADCAPs... but the steps she used are standard US Navy doctrine. If she wasn't there, and had Mardukas been there, he'd have done the same thing, because that's what a Western-trained submariner would have done.

Now, Mardukas vs Sharks in DVMC *drool* I can't wait for that to be animated.

Come on, there's enough love to go around, right?

.. the damage has been done, I can take it easy from now on.

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."

I'm sure everyone will get their fill of their favorite characters before the end. Well, I somehow doubt Gauron would show up even now. At least, I would hope not.

Spoilers:
[ecs]But, from what I've read so far, this novel should be the one where Sousuke rejoins Tessa and the rest. That should kick ass all around.[/ecs]

...considering the guy's been shot in the head, shot off a catapult, blown
up, spindled, mutilated, and every other unpleasant way to go... I'd have
to agree with ya sj4iy... or they're just scraping the bottom of the barrel
in finding a new baddie to match up to him

Keep it up with the flow of (good) news!

Usually I don't do this, but I just finished reading the first part, and figured I might as well drop a few spoilers:

Opens with a psychiatriast, Martha forget her last name, and she's evaluating Tessa, who was found wandering around at 3 am in San Fransisco and taken into custody by the police. Tessa tells her everything about Mithril, the Tuatha de Danaan, etc. She also says her subordinates mutinied after they escaped and abadoned her. More discussions with the psychiatrist, stuff happens. Finally, we find out it was all a ruse to draw out the Amalgam operative. Ends with Tessa yelling at Urzu 1 to destroy the AS. Still nothing about Sousuke, Chidori, etc. Guess we'll see.

Lots of very nice color pictures with this one.

Wow, I'm surprised that something like that would happen to Tessa... [ecs]cuz her crew seemed to adore/respect her so much. But I guess when the sh*t comes down, their fears and doubts take over. So where is the submarine now? The mutiny crew has it or did they abandon Tessa with it and she hide it somewhere?[/ecs] But this would make the story even better: it's a great chance to see some significant character growth for Tessa. In the anime between Tessa and Kaname, Kaname has shown so much more growth than Tessa has.
