Remember, Gaulron is a man whom seems to develop peculiarly strong bonds with children who have fought in wartime. Apparently, from his background, Gaulron was a child soldier himself. Take note the only people we see Gaulron treating with any display of affection is the child soldier grown up in Afghanistan, Sosuke (in his own way), and now apparently the two girls.
I imagine, in his own peculiar way, Gaulron cared for the two girls. Their seriously ****ed up personalities show that he had no idea how to properly emotionally develop them though.....or deliberately chose to make them monsters like himself.

O.K., I finally saw this episode legally and let me say a few things. First of all, Of all the additional violence, language and blood in TSR...The content in this episode seemed to have exceeded even FMP's standards. Secondly, I thought that this episode was probably the best and most emotional episode in the series I've seen so far.
I also have to say that the episode can summed up in the lyrics of Linkin Park's "Papercut".
My final thought was the question of whether anyone else felt pain during the ending of the episode.

Sousuke's #1 Fan!
"For a long time it gave me nightmares, it shows that the world can sometimes be cruel. I can still hear them taunting him. "Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids." Why couldn't they just give him some damn cereal?!" - Carlton Banks, Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

ooo! I loved this episode. It showed that Kaname had a strong will to survive and protect herself but at the same time it showed her strong need for Sousuke. The Leonard part to me showed that she did in fact love Sousuke very deeply because after she lay there in the rain crying wiping away Leonard's kiss, she said Sousuke's name. When a woman is kissed by a man and desires for another...yeah, you get the picture.
Not a lot of people liked TSR for whatever reasons. I thought they focused more on the characters emotions in TSR. I felt more connected to them and was able to relate in some ways.
Great episode!
PS. Yur sig quote is hilarious. I used to watch that show on Primetime. Carlton used to make me laugh.

Yeah this episode was...good. And yeah mega, I did...It involved throwing something at my TV, it was like a mix of sadness and anger...but I'll leave it at that. I tend to get too emotional when I watch anime. Heh.
"I didn't want to leave, and I didn't mean to abandon you either. An anonymous order, plus a bitter exchange of words with a ghost...I can't dispute this direct order...I just feel, powerless. " - Sousuke Sagara

Ironically, You're also located in Philadelphia. The home of "The Fresh Prince".Fan4Lost wrote: Yur sig quote is hilarious. I used to watch that show on Primetime. Carlton used to make me laugh.
I pretty much quoted Daffy Duck's line from one of the LooneyTunes.com toons, "I'm not gonna cry,I'm not gonna cry ,I'm not gonna cry..." the whole time that Kaname had finally brokedown and realized that she needed Sousuke.Raishinshi wrote: Yeah this episode was...good. I'm also not good with graphic scenes either [*even though I watch 24 and House*], so the whole necksnap/strangulation scene kind of unnerved me a bit. I thought that and the scenes where Kaname was naked and fending off a pervert in a hotel went beyond FMP's usual standards of violence and perversion/nudity.
I have also compiled a few songs that fit perfectly into the episode here:

I guess everyone realised already that woman talking with fat hong kong chief of intelligence dep. is Wraith. Just sharing my thoughts =P.
As for my question:
I'll give my soul to anyone that has any idea where i could find the bg song of that most touching scene from all FMP series. Also that creepy song just after opening does not appear in OST , such a shame..

Oooh. This is my favorite episode in TSR, and maybe in the whole series (wait, wait, no, nothing beats the Rugby episode in Fumoffu. XD).
Anyway, I liked how they portrayed Kaname, she kicked ass. It made me appreciate her more, plus, this is where everyone truly realizes that she deserves more than being the damsel in distress.
Leonard's kiss must've pissed a lot of people off. . lol. In contrary though, I actually liked it, aside from the fact that I think he's totally hot, I think that I goes to reveal how much deeper Kaname feels for Sousuke, the desperateness just spices up everything. Oh and the monologue mad me cry. . It sent shivers down my spine. It's a great build up for the later episodes, especially for the one where Sousuke thought she had died.
Haha. My brain was screaming : THEY'RE DEFINITELY HOOKING UP LATER ON! *braincells rejoice* XDDDDDD

This might be, at least so far, the definitive Kaname episode. She goes from being a very scared high school girl to someone taking some very gutsy risks to get to the truth of her situation, and then has to outwit someone who is essentially a killing machine. (Hmmm. Yu Lan was Gauron's killing machine, who was done in by Leonard's killing machine?)
The first time I saw it was as a fan dub on YouTube, and I remember getting really caught up in it. The combination of the art and the voice acting was so good that I think really surpassed a lot of TV and film drama done with live actors.
