So, uh, does anybody know what is France's General Directorate for External Security Direction is? Well, if Michelle is a member of some national organization, he sure did care a lot about Nami, since there's a scene where he seems to be supporting Nami's head in his hands, I'm guessing when she died. Why would Kurama give Sousuke information even though he was going to die? Of course [ecs]Gauron gave Sousuke information because he wanted to do as much damage as he could to Amalgam.[/ecs]

Kurama is dead. Sousuke dealt him a fatal wound and then asked him for info on where she was.
Must the bad guys always die as so? Oh well. At least Sousuke was able to get something out of that guy.

Only a couple?! If he didn't kill 1/2 a city, he isn't doing his job propperly!AEmer wrote:Come now, if Sousuke didn't kill a couple of people every now and again, he wouldn't live up to his name as a one man army...

Were you trying to say something that got cut off AEmer?
Anyway, yeah, Sousuke's got to kill at least a few bad guys. The guy murdered Nami after all. Besides, since they took Kaname and killed off most of Mithril, he needs to go on a killing spree of vengeance. Granted, Kaname might not care too much for Sousuke tripling his death count in a matter of a few weeks, but you can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs.
Anyway, roan... what about the real important questions I asked!? ;.;

I see, seems France is pretty good to know about Amalgam, and they also know that the organization seems to be a terrorist like one. Mithril only discovered Amalgam pretty much recently, and Amalgam has been trying to destroy Mithril. Also with Mithril's expansive intelligence network, though France kind of beat them with sending agents to the town. The US Navy didn't even know the Tuatha de Danaan, so they nicknamed it the "Toy Box."

The way I see it, the introduction of french dudes is just like the mission in italy...it repressents a nice bucket of stereotypes for Gatoh to work with, that will help him make his illusion more interesting.
And Weltall, well...yes, but I decided it wasn't important, and then I forgot to move the 'I'...and yeah, I thought it was too much of a hassle to remove it...

What was stereotypical in the mission in Italy? And now what's stereotypical with French operatives? I don't think Gatoh works with stuff like using stereotype feelings to guide him, since I don't find anything that says that he does.

Stereotypes aren't bad. They're stereotypes, nothing more, nothing less. There's nothing evil about them...unless people use them in order to judge persons they get in contact with based upon them entirely, in which case they often result in evil things...
That's not what Gatoh does, though. He uses the connotations and associations you have about the french, about small italian cars, about the mafia, about the military, etc. etc. - and since associations and connotations derived from such broad concepts are often very precise, they're stereotypes.
Particularly fantasy writers use a ton of stereotypes, but so do a lot of other writers since they help them 'generate' images within your mind as you read, and that's what Gatoh does here - using persons with different nationality, and names that originate from those nations, he sets a firm foundation for those characters, and it helps him make them deeper.
