There is more to it(not something in the conversation though, but a reason behind why she is calling), which is why she is blushing.
Also, that was a mistranslated pun. She thought Sousuke said "buying crabs" (which is how Boku-Tachi explained it in the novel 'Kani Katte' instead of Canicatti).
An F16 jetfighter is armed with 2 (as I recall, it may be just 1) internal 20 mm gattling guns, which fire an absolutely obscene amount of rounds every second…the pilots refer to firing them as ‘spraying’, because they can empty their entire ammunition out in a very short amount of time (seconds).
A 12.7mm gun can very well be a gattling machinegun; considering how big an AS is, the guns inside the arbalest are either gattling machineguns or some kind of heavy machinegun (such as the browning m2) – the fact that they’re just called internal guns, or internal machineguns, doesn’t imply that they’re not gattlings. Considering that gattling guns would just overall be a lot more useful in fast paced combat, I’d lean towards them being gattling guns rather than being regular machineguns.
IRT Justin:
Since you’re new, check out the “Boku tachi fmp! novels” – thread.
Anyway, spoilers ahead: she’s blushing in that particular situation because she’s at an exam, and Sousuke hasn’t showed…and there’s this other girl who’s talking all lovey dovey to her boyfriend, and Kaname get’s a little jealous. Kyoko, always trying to ignite situations for her own amusement, convinces Kaname to call Sousuke. Kaname, of course, has this other girl in mind as she’s ringing Sousuke up, and ponders if it’ll turn out similarly…as can be seen, that changes immediately as she’s told ‘cannicatti’ by Sousuke – that means “buying crabs” – likely because she’s now pretty surprised.

Ah, sorry, I was 15 when I last went to see one, that's 4 years ago lol.
As for the rate of fire...if you're talking about the one in the preview, well, how on earth did you gauge the rate of fire from that overly simplistic animation?
Anyway, since I just went in to check it, the opening of gun mount is round with a solid bit in the middle, suggesting the bullets are comming from around the rim.
The sound has a characteristic low hum semi-high tune 'fwyuuuu' sound, suggesting the use of a gattling type weapon (since they sound that way in anime and games); it's fairly easy to hear that it's different from the single-barrel weapons used in the short clip.
I also went back to look through the novels, and well, it appears there's a little confusion...apparently, the ARX also has access to body-mounted 30 mm chainguns...atleast, these could be fired at the same time as a 40 mm rifle...it appeared that the 30 mm chainguns were reffered to interchangably with the 12,7 mm machineguns, but unless those 30 mm's are describing length, that doesn't make sense, and even if it does, that doesn't make sense either, so it has to be either a translation error, a writing error, or that the 30 mm chainguns are something altogether different.
Anyway, the 12,7mm dual headmounted guns are mentioned in several places, and they fire at a speed of 30 rounds per second (that's a quote), or 1800 rounds per minute each, which is a very curious rate of fire, not fitting with a US 12,7 mm, or any 50 cal machinegun to date...but I can't rule out a 4-barrel soviet 12,7 mm gattling gun.
However, it appears that they used to be helicopter mounted, which would indicate that they were miniguns, but then, it also appears they 'had their rate of fire increased', which makes it appear that they're regular chainguns...
Personally, since the mounts are round, and due to the sound and firering speed, I refuse to believe it's a single-barrel gun... Gattling guns are cooler, too.

Japanese June Newtype confirms the TSR Act3 Scene 00 as available on DVD

readily identify
Unfortunately not much more info to add... that and my japanese skills are
less than nonexistant.

Starts off with a CNN-like summary of some crisis in the MidEast? then
cuts to a C-17... and we KNOW who uses C-17s Some men are being
made to dig a ditch, and a kid threatens that Mighty X will get all their
tormentors. Laughing, the leader goes on about 'Watch out! Mighty X
will get us!' as you-know-who drops in for a visit
Some of the new chars I mentioned in the clip's end... as well as a chilling
'MY HONEEEEEEY!' from you-know-who
has now been ripped and released on the internet, and that what you gave above is the summary of the single scene...how long is the clip, if I may ask?
After double checking the faq: would you mind revealing the name of the party that has done the ripping?, they don't seem to be credited in the filename you gave...

"Can I help you?, "you know this section is.." she broke off her sentence as the man walked towards her and nodded, "I think you can Captain".
Tessa looked down, "I haven't been called Captain in 4 years," Wha..what do you want?"
He gave her a devious grin, "I'm here to make sure you keep your promise."
