When did you first realize

Dunno if it's an obsession per se, but it became my favorite series when I was in Japan and I discovered there were novels 
Then I was determined to read them and find out what happened after the anime had finished. I guess since then, it's just been something that I work on. I think I like the story so much b/c it's not typical at all. Just when you think it's getting formulaic, it does something to completely blow you away.

well i fell into it by accident
...i was bored one day and looking through the channels and found anime on demand...so i looked and i saw Full Metal Panic ep 1...i said oh this must be like the second part of Full Metal Alchemist..i looked at it, and after i realized it wasent...i was glad because FMP is so much better...and i guess thats haow it happend....go figure ,my love of the anime was by accident

For me i had just got into anime, after watchin few random episodes of anime at my cousins house, i decided to download full series of a few anime and watch.
I looked for consistant good ratings of different anime shows and made a list, FMP was on that list. When i looked for whole shows to download from that list, FMP came up first in my mind.
After watching it i fell in love because it was good but also because it was the first whole real (not stuff like pokemon and DBZ that came on UK TV) anime series i ever watched.

I noticed the addiction, when I was going to a friends house out of town and I brought 3 dvds to watch when she was doing other things. (Ended up staying up late to watch them). I'm sure the addiction was there long before that.
And now I sit at work and listen to the soundtracks while I type away all day, all so I can watch it in my head.
Am I crazy? Or just really bored at my job?
