can you guys read japanese or are you just guessing b/c there is nothing on for the 26th?

but yea, i figured that there would be only 13 episodes

hopefully they will do more seasons.... but still i thought they'd at least do DVMC...

Not surprised. I was expecting a short series since the trailer DVD w/box was announced.

Was looking at this Monday morning- CdJapan recently listed the first 2 DVD releases.

First vol has ep 1 and that preview special that aired.
Vol 2 is eps 2 and 3.
Made sense for the series to end with an odd # then, and if they went to 13 eps = 7 DVD + the Vol 00(/box) makes 8 DVDs.

Box 1 would hold Vols 1, 2, and 3 - eps 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 + the trailer DVD 00
Box 2-Vols 4-8 holding eps 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13

The Box that was released holds 4, so when it was clear we'd only have 2 eps per, they'd have to release a second DVD box that would also hold 4.

If the series were longer, they probably would not have designed the boxes this way, else you'd end up with 3 or 4 DVD boxes for a single series!

But, I sort of felt my 'box math' wasn't credible enough for everyone else to rely on. Thanks for link to acutal proof!

Ah, didn't notice that at first. Tsuduku Hibi

Is that romanjization correct? Not sure how to pronounce the tsu character with the " on it. But I have learned that word from all the anime that say "to be continue" in the end of episodes. Tsutsuku? Tsuzuku? Tsuduku?

hmm i'll stick to a 26 eper though... maybe what it meant was ep 13 ends the book day by day and 14 on wards starts another arc...

Jumping in with my 2 cents.

It's unfortunately but definitely a 13 episode series based only on ODBD. I had my fingers crossed too for at least DVMC to be included (I think the ending in DVMC at least gives some resolution to the characters' feelings which makes for a better closure for a season), but all the official sites have had only the 2 ODBD novels listed as links for TSR. WOWOW's schedule kinda drives in the last nail.

I'm not sure if anyone has pointed it out but the obi on COMO states "In Planning for Animation". So I am hopeful for the 3rd Raid, and maybe a 4th, 5th, and a 6th...

Yea, I agree DVMC would be a better ending for a season. But I guess one of the problems putting both stories into one TV season would be that there wouldn't be a main bad guy to last to whole season... but I guess they can create one... like Gates... and have him survive to the end of DVMC... hmmm, that'd work. But can the twins live that long? There would have to be major plot changes. Meh, they were there just for fanservice anyways.
