You know, the series is half over and they have yet to develop a real, continuing story. Just a bunch of two part stories. Assuming the writers were to, suddenly, pull a story out of their collective asses, does anyone think it could save the series and make it into something more than a mediocre (albeit pretty) monster of the week thing?

I mean, I came into watching it with high hopes because the girls are cute, the animation is good, the mechs are cool, and goshdarn, it's GONZO. But now, I'm not so sure.

Damn, at least Kiddy Grade came up with a story after ten episodes.
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish, and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down on thee with great vengence and furious anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers, and you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengence upon thee." - Jules, Pulp Fiction

Talk to whoever's in charge of the script there... given they ARE at
the midway point, I don't think they have enough time to even start
a half-way decent storyline to save this trainwreck. I am curious
if Gonzo does story and scripting as well, or is strictly an animation production house

Speaking of chars, I WAS hoping Meg'd do more than play damsel-in-distress-of-the-week
everytime -- heck in the OP she was letting off with a friggin' Barette
sniper rifle!

On a good day, a Tomahawk can fly into the door of a two-car garage at the distance of several hundred miles. And that can ruin your whole day.

You meant Meg right?Everyone's a critic -H

Yeah, this is pretty much a dud series. At least with Kono Minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai, the filler episodes were enjoyable with that "slice of life" feel...

I too had high hopes for this anime... but I doubt it'll be a Kiddy Grade... that is pull a compelling and enjoyable story out of nowhere near the halfway mark of the series...

I guess the summer anime are my only hope now.

You want conplaining, you're going to LOVE this one
The other day Bakuten licensing was picked up by the flying monkeys from the planet Funimation. Since bakuten is now licensed in the US and according to our policies we have now dropped Bakuten as a project. We have picked up a few new surprises for you so stick around for many new releases coming out soon.
 is this good news or bad news... well, least we won't have a week-by-week bitching of how Meg sucks!, or how the story's gone nowhere...

I don't really know how to take that news... but my first reaction was... ****!!!!!!!!

Anyway... those damn monkeys at FUNimation? The damn world is gonna end...

So should I stop pursuit of this... lost cause, or should I stick with it till the end? Especially with all these appealing summer anime...

Am I the only one to notice that Funimation did a really good job with Tenchi GXP and have been getting better overall in the past year or two?

My interest in Bakuretsu Tenshi is starting to be rekindled.

In episode 14 we see just how Meg and Jo got together. Either Meg dyed her hair afterwards, or the "flashback" colour palette altered her hair to a darker colour (the flashback was close to monochrome).

Hm...

Sei's only 19 years old??

So you're not taking a chance huh.

Does that mean... I, Tsushima Masaki must take the tumble?

The music on those 4 "SUIT" CDs (I think they're actually "SUITE" CDs, but whatever") is pretty good. Some of the songs I didn't like. Amy's song wasn't all that enjoyable... hearing a 12 year old girl rapping? No thanks.

Some songs were great. My favourite CD was Sei's. Great vocal track, and then the first image track was this Chinese melody with a pulsing house or trance beat, Her second image was simply the same thing but with no electronica, and slowed down.

BakuTen PERFECT OST Collection.... ummmm....

meantime, eps seems to have been... noticable absent lately.
Then again, with 5 or less eps to pull a coherent storyline together....
OR to have Meg and Jo snog for a bit :perv: .... hey, one can wish :-D
about the only thing that'll save the series from TOTAL banality
