that nekomini gal is actually a mutant that has 6 sense den she kills the guards and excape from the confinement area and on the way loses her memory and lives with this guy...

den her life story continues... btw it is a 13eper

you've gotta be kidding me.... i watched the 1st episode and.... boy... this show is one hell of a violent one... not only that red haired gal nyuu walks around naked for the show and is a suppa killing machine... she killed 23 ppl in 5mins... ripping their heads,arms,legs and torso apart... Holy shit!!!!

the story is really gruesome... advice only 18 and above shld watch this

I watched the RAW... and...

HOLY ****ING SHIT!!

I don't watch horror/thriller movies that often, so I'm not usually used to that type of violence...

Some of that stuff was stomach churning... then the scene nonchalantly changes to sakura falling from trees and a nice peaceful backdrop.

The way some of those people died...

ESPECIALLY that female...

I'll just say this... if Kurz were to try anything, his heart would be ripped from his body in an instant...

I just watched the RAW of #2...

Spoilers.

There's less killing, and more... torture... that jackass soldier or whatever he is just got one arm dismembered, the other broken, then got his eyes gouged out... and still lives...

Some comic relief in this ep as well... but it doesn't really help.

Then at that very end... *gasp* it seems there's ANOTHER girl JUST LIKE MYUU or whatever her name is. Only this time her hair is shorter...

I found this while searching around Google. Complete with screenshots as well.

Please keep in mind that I have no idea if this guy understands Japanese, so some of his explanations may be incorrect.

"Well, now I know which story Gainax 'ripped off' to create This Ugly and Beautiful World. Elfen Lied (Elfen Song) contains many of the same elements/themes that Kono Minikuku presented but the difference is that Elfen Lied seems to have a stronger direction and narrative than that new Gainax series. Let's get the most important thing out of the way though: this show is violent with capital V. Some of the things that happened in this show are really stomach-turning. It doesn't skimp on blood either and bucketloads have been splashed generously over the first episode. The show also contains a lot of nudity and various fanservice. So far it is quite tasteful but if it ever descended to Kono Minikuku's level, I'll probably get turned off by it. Another impressive thing about the show is its opening theme, Lilium, a haunting old latin/opera-styled song.

The story begins inside an underground maximum security prison. Apparently a creature that has been confined in a specific cell has run away from her prison and start a chain of bloody massacre on everyone that she encounters. We then get to see Kisaragi, a cute, clumsy secretary who works at the place. Kisaragi's co-workers think that their boss, Kurama, is intimidating. Kisaragi, however, thinks that Kurama is a kind person and she wishes she can be a better secretary for him. I like Kisaragi but I am glad I never get too attached to her when I started watching this episode. Because it doesn't take long before she trips on her own leg when walking around the place and fall down in front of the creature, who's in the middle of a face off with Kurama and many guards. The creature immediately lifts Kisaragi up and decapitates her neck, leaving Kurama devastated.

For some strange reason, the creature decides not to kill Kurama but leaving an imprint of bloody hand behind his jacket. Kurama, realising that the creature is about to get away into the ocean, orders a sniper to take a shot at the creature's head. The creature got shot but she also ends up falling into the sea as a result. Cut to another scene in another place. A girl called Yuka meets her cousin, Kouta, after the two haven't seen each other for a long time. They then go to the beach and Kouta remember how his dead sister, Kanae, used to love collecting shells. While Kouta is busy remembering his sister, Yuka suddenly notices something emerging out of the ocean. The thing turns out to be a pink haired girl with an elf ear, thus the Elfen in the title. The girl is clearly the same creature who escaped from the maximum security prison not too long ago but it seems she has lost her memory due to the sniper's shot. Or maybe she's faking it.

At any rate, Yuka and Kouta end up feeling sorry for her so they decided to take her back to Yuka's house. Wrong move! When you encounter a cute but strange alien girl, you should report her to authorities so they can dissect her before she has the chance to obliterate the world. Anyway, back to the secret prison, Kuruma has assembled a group of soldiers to track down the wayward elf. One of the soldiers is a sadistic bastard called Bandou. He's the kind of scum who won't hesitate to beat up a girl just because she annoys him. Back at Yuka's house, it looks like the elf girl can't say anything else apart from "Nyuu" so they decide to call her Nyuu. How inspiring. Nyuu also turns out to be one curious girl and she ends up breaking a clamshell that was given to Kouta by his sister due to her curiosity. Kouta is angry at the girl because of this. Seeing Kouta angry, Nyuu becomes upset and runs away to the beach to cry on her own, ending the episode."

ok - I gave the manga a second shot. Ch 2a came out and I read it. Looking much better than it did in the first. I will continue to read it...
