Well Ive seen the movie now..
one thing has been bothering me with these kinds of movies
is that japanese 3d movies all have these unnessesary body movements..
that really just makes the actors look weird.. (can they be called actors

)
anyway some places were cool, other less cool. overall I liked it but I had hoped that theyd take some parts of the game into the movie aswell and not just everything after it..
since people whom havent played the game might not understand it all..
The coolest place in the movie was easily the Sephiroth fight... geez I wanted more Sephiroth overall.. he was my idol when i played the game..
loved the part when u were his ally and u made like 300damage and everytime he hit he made 11000damage...

it's been a long time since i played this game... considering i never owned a ps (goooo nintendo

) but this game was reallyl good; i love the ff series, hence why i picked up ff9 even tho i didn't own a ps

ill check out the movie... maybe might pick up the sub but most likely will wait till US dvd version...

FF7 is my favourite rpg till today, so I really wanted to see the movie.
It was a pleasant surprise. The animation is breath taking the story is good too and all FF7 characters have gotten a role in the movie. They stayed true to the game. They are using materia and limitbrakes just like in the good old times.

People who didn't played the game, won't understand the story, but I think after watching the movie they probably will buy the game.

Oh, almost forgot.......Tifa is the best!

Yes Sir! Of Course Sir!
Altough we will need hours to explain it properly.

I remember that in college me and two of my friends used to talk hours about the game and tried to completely figure out the story.

Watched the movie again, it was insane. Gorgeous battle sequences... makes me sad to know Final Fantasy Games'll never have battles like that. Attention to detail was awesome, only problem was everyone's lips were the same. Too perfect...

Need some FF experts as well to fill me in on the backstory as well...

a DEFINATE tour de visual force no doubt... I was kinda put off by the
shifty camera angles and lack of longer facial shots. Idunno how well the chars
were developed, but the main chars came off as likeable and not 2D personaliies
in 3D bodies.

If I had to compare it to something to help put it in context, Battle Arena
Toshinden comes to mind: main chars meet, fight, blahblah sad story,
some more fight, then just when things look hopeless, insert everyone else
in long enough to do their trademark talk or moves, blahblah, kick major
butt, end of story...

Heh if Cloud picked Aerith he'd have a mother complex. It was made apparent in the movie that he sees Aerith as a mother figure. Plus Zak x Aerith is pretty canon.

Summarizing FF7 would be hard but ask anything and I'm sure a few of us would try to answer to the best of our abilities... meaning whatever we can remember from almost eight or seven years ago.

[Edit] By the way, people who don't know much about the game. It'd be best to realize the movie was made for the fans of the game. It's not really made for a general audience.
