Heh. There was a thread here about it, but it appears to be long gone <g>
Just IMO, but I think it's too damn long. I've seen a good bit of both the anime and manga, but in both formats I reached the 'eh, its predictible and I don't care anymore' point.
If it were shorter and less repetitive it could be a title I really like- I think the characters and engaging and some of the story plots interesting. Unfortunately it suffers from Ranma-itis

It's got it's moments, but it's one of those anime that manages to
drag it's heels for several eps on end -- not as bad as ones like
*coughs* DB(any) or *coughs* Naruto, but still...
Personal Favorite Moment in Inu Yasha: #109, when Inu Yasha pisses
off Kagome so bad she does the Osuwari attack on Setting 11!!
BTW, the next Inu Yasha Movie / OVA? just came out: Women
Who Loved Sesshoumaru...huh, how short is THAT list?

You REALLY want an answer to that?

Well, I think Jae and Hellfire are right.
It's too long. Aside from that I really like it. The story is good, the characters are excellent, and the whole "InuYasha world" has it's own magic. Wow, it sounded so mistical.
Well anyway, I think I will stick with it until the end.
And not just because of Sango.

Naruto is just a better version of DB... I watch it to waste time. It's not great but I guess it beats doing 20 mins of nothing. I read the manga for Naruto too and I look forward to seeing some of the fights animated. Inu Yasha is much better than Naruto, less arena fighting and much funnier. The episode where Inu Yasha goes to Kagome's school during the cultural festival... it was like watching Fumoffu
. I thought the fight scenes with the Shichinintai were good. Even though half the show uses the monster-of-the-week formula, it still carries the story along nicely. The Women Who Loved Sesshoumaru thing is just a 1 hour/2 episode special that aired on TV. Not an OVA or movie. The raw's out so I've been waiting for the fansub for a few days now... *tweedles his thumbs*
And yes, Sango is hot.

As much of a fan as I am of Rumiko Takahashi, I just find InuYasha to be mediocre. The characters and story are bland to me, but the artwork is great.
The longevity of it doesn't seem to bother me, though.
